I was trying to remember if Tesla ever did hit a dead line with one of their models.141132232 ordered on Oct. 25 2020 at 83 years of age I might never see my Dual motor at least I have my Model Y
They canceled their Model Y single-motor pre orders that didn't opt to upgrade when the configurator opened.I was trying to remember if Tesla ever did hit a dead line with one of their models.
Yes, but the script that used to easily spit the number out on slow connections/browsers is broken now.I can reach the Tracker main page here:
And can follow the link to add a reservation:

To my knowledge, the only time Tesla produced a model by the projected date/ deadline. Was the Model Y. They actually came out a month or two earlier.I was trying to remember if Tesla ever did hit a dead line with one of their models.
I have to wonder if Tesla will make any changes to their purchase agreement with all the changes and delays. I am in the 50K range for a dual motor but if they are going up 25%, I honestly doubt I'll be able to swing a purchase. Of course there are plenty of reservations behind me so Tesla really doesn't care. When I reserved, I thought I had a chance to purchase one but too many things have changed in the last few years. If Tesla keeps the original purchase price for the first 100K-500K reservations, I might have a chance and I know Tesla will make money on every CT they sell, even if they dropped the price. So 95,948th. Hmmnnn...Any bids on this place in line for a dual motor? LoL.
That's why it would be disastrous for them to hike the price like some are suggesting.I have to wonder if Tesla will make any changes to their purchase agreement with all the changes and delays. Also, interest rates are going up quickly. A lot of people can make a $50k truck with a 3% loan into their budget. A $65k truck with 5% interest is nearly doubling the payments. Difference is massive. That's why it would be disastrous for them to hike the price like some are suggesting.
The only thing that might help me would be if my social security payments were not taxed at all (just like many billionaires). I'd also like to see my "IRA" pre-tax not be taxed, especially since I paid a lot of taxes when I was working. Again, I had a family to support so I couldn't pay a lawyer and accountant to falsify my income to get away with paying almost no taxes. I already knew I'd have to pull some money out of my IRA but that means I have to pay income tax on it, which is more than paying interest on a load. My Apple Card is up to a generous $19K limit so maybe I could use that to pay off part of my CT, get 1% back and not have to pay any interest. Any other ideas for the majority of people in the US?Also, interest rates are going up quickly. A lot of people can make a $50k truck with a 3% loan into their budget. Has anyone’s income doubled in the past couple years? Mine hasn’t.
The IRA incentives make that more interesting.
PS: Who was the idiot who decided a bill with tax incentives would be called IRA?
Shhhh... We're not supposed to call it that. We are supposed to call it by it's full name only. Inflation Reduction Act.PS: Who was the idiot who decided a bill with tax incentives would be called IRA?
We don't know. It was 300 plus miles on launch night, and nothing has been updated since. What is the latest mileage expected for the dual motor?
I ordered one and wonder if I can change to a tri-motor and if it is worth it.
