Rivian and every other truck manufacturer way before Rivian existed. I'm sure the CT will have this option also. At least as an aftermarket product if not a direct option from Tesla.
what he’s describing is a bit different than anything in another truck

it’s not just the “bed extender” cages, it’s moreso that the tailgate itself extends outwards several inches when in the down position - and is weight-bearing
I was just talking about the gooseneck hinges and that picture showed the cover over them.

Maybe I'm confused by I thought it was unique based on the below.

The math from numbers below shows 29.8" extra length ( 83.9" - 54.1" ). Not sure what is typical delta but it seems like Rivian is 9" more?

"For maximum length, we developed the tailgate with a gooseneck hinge system, extending the bed floor to 83.9 inches with the tailgate down. With the tailgate up, the bed length measures 54.1 inches, making it easier to get around and park every day."

I have not seen other trucks with them.

Below in white is what I thought was normal:

When you’re that short, you gotta come up with creative ways to “compensate” for it.

Some guys just drive really big 4x4s that never go off-road….

I have a similar bike. It fits just laying flat in diagonal on the bed, you can close the bed gate. Not sure why I would hang my bike like this if you're only carrying one bike. I'd be worried about damaging the gate as well w/o protections. Did you get that CT accessory?

You’re replying to a thread from over a year ago when the truck was still only in employee hands
