One of the biggest problem with the CT is that it is just too cool. It attracts TOO much attention.
Ford, GM and Dodge would love to have a vehicle with the cachet of a Cybertruck, but they don't.

looks like they're expanding worldwide now so demand aint a thang. Next is Single Motor. This low price people keep dreaming about is distant.

I hope the demand slows down enough, so I can use my one time $2500 voucher at the store. Most of the Cybertruck items are "Out of Stock" or "Available Late".

Maybe they will make a Half Motor for the Poors ?

Piling up for their delivery to customers. Let's not forget that Tesla ideally wants about 2 weeks from order to delivery. I'd say at present build rate suits orders well.
Agreed. These things are still flying off the lots. It's the most special vehicle ever made and people are paying big bucks at Auction to get a hold of one. Elon hit a home run.

Honestly, this is a supply/demand problem caused by price. When you look at similar EV trucks (Rivian/Lightening), you get a lot more luxury for 100K. But even those at that price point aren't big sellers. 100K is a lot of dough. If Tesla gets that price down (i.e. in the 60s-70s maybe?) and is able to have it compete price-point with a Ford Lightening XLT, I think they will get more bites. Ford is now also offering 0% APR on 2024 Lightenings which is compelling too. If Tesla could offer that for CTs, they may get some nice bites as well, but they are only offering it for 3 and Y at this time.

They will get there. Demand will solve their price problem and force them to lower it. At the same time, they don't want to alienate us who just bought this truck. It would be a poke in our eye if they lowered it quickly. Because if they do, then the next time they want to release something, it may cause us to wait it out. Its a double edged sword.

Various options sure feels like an indication for lessening demand.
  • leases now available
  • enabling the ability to transfer FSD to the Cybertruck
  • started deliveries in Canada [and Mexico]
  • people without reservations can order one and get it delivered in days (< 1 month)

…2+ million reservations

If the supply is not finding a home at any steady rate then there is ‘low’ demand

Lots should not be overflowing.

allegedly you can get a CyberTruck as quick as 1week after ordering, assuming all ducks are in a row, in some areas..

Exactly. The Raptor R doesn't exist.

And the Lightning is extremely inferior to the AWD.............
You can buy a Raptor R if you want to spend that kind of money on a truck with very limited cargo and towing ability, terrible fuel economy and expensive maintenance but, yeah, it doesn't have the cachet or damage resistance of the Cybertruck.

The best selling EV truck combined at the foundation series has a demand problem ? It did better than they expected I'll bet.

Lots are for deliveries. Not stock.
