Odds are, you can simply buy the HEPA filter and install it after the fact. You won't get the bioweapon defense mode option, but it's not much more than max fan. My Model X didn't come with the HEPA filter and I was able to buy and install it. There'd be little advantage for Tesla to do anything other than just leave the HEPA filter out.
My understanding is that the biodefense system is a lot more than just a HEPA filter. It’s a positive pressure system that actually recycles air in the cabin while keeping it over pressurized so no outside air can get in. Adding a HEPA filter and turning the fan to high is not the same thing.

There's no air path that allows the car to recycle air through the HEPA filter, as it is open to the outside entirely on one side. Engaging Bioweapon Defense Mode mode turns off recirculation and maxes out the fan, creating a positive pressure within the vehicle as the cabin air escapes through the pressure relief vents and through door/window seals. While it's possible that Tesla installed a less capable blower in the RWD and coming SAWD that can't maintain enough pressure to draw air in with a HEPA filter installed, it would be the first time (that I'm aware of) that they opted to install less capable parts instead of just leaving out the filter.

In my Model X, Tesla offered a $500 package to upgrade non-premium vehicles to Bioweapon Defense Mode. Engaging it disabled recirc and turned the fan speed to 11. The upgrade included the ~$200 HEPA filter which was glued into a replacement intake shroud behind the frunk tub.

Same for early 2020 MYLR...we had two of them (July & August 2020).

Tesla eventually offered a HEPA/BWDM upgrade for $300. They sent a mobile tech to add the HEPA filter/HEPA filter housing and update the software with the BWDM button.

Also it is missing "Hands-free power frunk open on approach". I wonder if it is not UWB capable? Otherwise, very odd to not include this feature.

Suspect I first noticed the 'on approach' open when I upgraded my phone and the UWB features came alive.

I turned it off because the frunk was opening frequently and not at all matching my intentions.

The cyberbeast foundation is the best cybertruck on the road! Alcantera everywhere and lots of other nice standard options and when I go to cars and coffee and all the porsche and corvette owners come by to badmouth my “ugly” truck - Zi casually mention that 0-60 this ugly truck is faster then every sports car in this parking lot! That usually wipes off their smirk. But
Be careful talking smack ... The 2026 Corvette ZR1X is 1.89 seconds, and many Porsche models can also smoke your Beast 0-60. And, they are all faster top speed.

You could tell them that your truck is about as fast, even carrying a pallet of cinder blocks.

True, but that doesn't mean that BWDM doesn't recirculate the inside air while simultaneously pulling enough outside air to maintain a positive pressure differential. Pulling max air through the filter is not the best strategy for minimizing contaminants in the cabin.

That said, I have no idea how it actually works lol

Actually the zr1X - will cost you $350,000 these days and the only porsche faster 0-60 is the turbo s and that is about the same. In my corvette club - none of the members own a zr1x and it is true that when we meet for lunch and I bring my cybertruck it is the fastest 0-60 vehicle there.

Irrespective - the 0-60 to time for the cyberbeast is not easy to beat for $110,000 new.
