I think because it's not considered a safety issue. Recalls are only for safety.
Some would argue it is a safety issue considering that is how mine failed on the highway. Luckily I was still within city limits and unable to restart.
Prior to that I was on a two lane canyon road with no shoulder, praying I don’t get rear ended with trying to perform the “exit and restart the drive”

That’s a nice (most likely vibe coded 🙂) app.
Without any data on average miles driven or hours charge per part number this means nothing. if there are only 6 “G” version with only 5 hours charged, and no failures then we can’t confirm it’s fixed.

That still doesn’t mean it’s fixed. it’s a very low failure rate to begin with, I have 25k mi and mostly L2 charging and no issues. Others have 60k and no issues, yet.

I didn't say or imply mine will never fail. Just that it's the newest revision.

Why is this not a recall yet? So many trucks have been affected. Considering Tesla is proactively enabling free supercharging blatantly shows there are problems.

For those of us who have had the PCS replaced already and/or past the warranty period, supercharging doesn’t really help at all considering it’s a known defect.

I think because it's not considered a safety issue. Recalls are only for safety.
I believe that's true; the NHTSA can only mandate recalls for safety issues. Recalls have to be fixed at no cost to the customer. If you think your vehicle has a safety issue, you can report it to the NHTSA. This is supposed to trigger an investigation and maybe eventually a recall.

If non-safety issues arise, the manufacturers can initiate "service campaigns" or "customer satisfaction programs" to fix affected vehicles. However, these are not technically “recalls”, and the manufacturer may or may not offer them free of charge to the customer.

Gotcha, I thought you were saying that since the chart said that version said “fixed’ and you had 2000 miles that it was confirmed or something.

This will probably end up a recall eventually. While recalls are for safety issue, that will usually include any systemic issue that can result in loss of power while driving or requiring you to pull over immediately. The cases where it simply prevents charging likely won't qualify, but I believe some people have claimed they were warned to pull over immediately. It would certainly be helpful if anyone who's had that type of failure raises a complaint with the NHTSA.

There's absolutely nothing that suggests the latest revision of PCS2 sufficiently fixes the issue, since some of us went 2 or more years before a failure.

Mine finally threw an alert this week, 19k VIN w/ ~16.5k miles. Daily 48A charging, roughly 74% AC charging with occasional Powershare usage.

2nd PCS failure just occurred. I got a message while Super charging. First failure at 15k, 2nd at 46k miles.

Edit: it instantly zeroed out the Super charging fees
What amps do you charge at home with?

I have the T2-G since early Jan 2026 - just over 5k miles. Have done a few long trips with supercharging as well, no issues so far.
