Asking questions is not armchair quarterbacking. Neither is expressing a viewpoint that may differ from your own. Healthy discussions/debates/questions help create better products.
I think you are under-estimating what Tesla already considers when it comes to making these kinds of decisions, while simultaneously over-estimating the contributions from this forum to the Tesla decision making process.

A fair point. My intent when I question something is to learn why something is done a particular way, not to criticize. Believe me, if I wanted to be critical, it would be very obvious (just ask my wife). I also understand that some less than ideal solutions can be driven by the need for immediate action. I have several friends that were part of the "production hell" of the Model-3 startup. Boy, do they have stories!

While I don't think that any of our chatter here influences Tesla right now, we could all provide valuable feedback once we take delivery and start driving these trucks. It should be an exciting ride!

If customer production starts this week then there are more than 20 days to produce cars. Last I read they were producing 14 a day. That was before they paused production for upgrades. If true that's at least 280 cars that could be delivered on the day of the launch event. Very cool.

I’m digging the new wheel cover design. It most likely has a protective cover to prevent shipping damage.

Most manufacturers ship the wheel covers insides of the vehicle to prevent damage.

As I predicted the Cybertruck won’t have any exterior badges or emblems. Telsa didn’t even bother embossing a T on the center cap section of the cover. This might be a first for a production vehicle.

they are not building 14 cars a day

you read that from someone (ahem) who has confused the [number of trucks in the outbound lot] with [number of trucks built in some prior day]

CTs are in outbound when they have somewhere to be outbound to. That’s all.

plenty of storage inside GFTX.

PS: that same person (ahem) is incorreCT that build of delivery customer units has begun

I dig 'em too. They're like a new pair of distressed jeans with holes in them - Pre-curb rashed. The stainless color helps break up the solid black of the wheels/tires.

There is FEA software that can show where Metal fatigue would happen so it can be designed out of the part. Those castings are likely a bit over designed except where they are designed to fail.

Wondering why the resting position of the BAW is different on those 2.

Wiper sweep end points can be adjusted and calibrated. Looks like the one on the right needs to be recalibrated.

Getting back on tract about the water testing booth. Several questions. Based on the size and quantity of hoses, the size of the portable pump trailers and the size of the semi water tender. What’s the standard of testing to pass the water test?

I know they need to simulate road speed, wind speed , inches per hour of rain and other factors.
What’s the standard they need to meet?

Now back to the outdoor booth. How do they prevent freezing? I can’t imagine them blowing out all the water or running anti freeze into the pumps during the winter months.

Or does it not get cold enough in Austin to have to deal with freezing?

Austin gets cold enough you'd need to drain it like once a year or two. It's also temporary, it probably drains pretty easily.

And while I don't know the pressures they're aiming at, you'd also want to exceed when idiots wash their truck with a pressure washer.

That's pretty accurate. I can't tell what kind of truck I'm looking at unless I see a logo. That won't be an issue with the CT. Although there are a lot of people who still don't know about Tesla so I wonder what they'll do when they see one driving down the road and want to buy one.
