Another PCS converter failure here. My truck is at 99k miles. Seems like it might be worth it for all of to file complaints with the NHSTA because mine went limp on the highway and almost got me killed.
Out of curiosity, when a part like this is replaced, is there a warranty period on the replacement and is their a mileage restriction on that part warranty?

If replaced under your new car warranty, the coverage period remains unchanged.
If you pay for a repair (out of warranty) there is a new coverage term.

Good morning all!

Received my second “AC Charging unavailable” warning in two weeks and this time it is sticking, causing me to be unable to charge. Checked the service menu and it is a PCS issue. I have tried the soft reset/Safety menu power off. Foundation AWD, 33,200 miles, and 4000 range VIN.

Checking to see how many people have been affected by this problem and if service is the only fix, what is the turn around time if parts are available?
Happened to me recently, of course had to schedule SC visit and was fixed in 1 day with loaner. Took about a week to schedule appointment, fortunately I don't need to drive daily. My CT AWD purchased May 2024 VIN #1000_ if that is useful.

My car has 99k miles. That should answer the warranty question.... its costing me $3,100 for the replacement. Any info on warranty?

Now it’s my turn for this. I’m able to charge at only 24 amps. I can supercharge. Service mode shows this:
Tesla Cybertruck Power Conversion System Failure IMG_3488

I love my CT. But the recalls and fixes and trips to the service center are getting tiresome. OTOH, FSD drove me to and from LA from San Diego flawlessly!

So it was the PCS and it was replaced....a little over $3200. My failed PCS was the newest version so it was replaced with the exact same part number...so it looks like even the current ones are failing.

Why wasn’t it under warranty?

Did you get the old one back since it was out of warranty? Or was there a core fee?

They did not give me the old one back. They said they had to send it into Tesla to examine it.

What was the part numbers?

Mine was replaced a couple of weeks ago with the updated Power conversion system revision.

I would have to look at my reciept to look at part numbers...but they specifically told me that the part number the replaced my PCS with was the exact same one I had in the car and that my car had the updated part number from the factory....I have a late 38,xxx VIN so my car had a lot of the superseded parts from the factory.

I've been concerned hearing about these failures. I'm at like 35k and VIN 0007XX. So far haven't noticed any issues around it.

So was I, and I got tagged recently, haha!!

My FS AWD, 05/24 delivery, 11xxx, 35k just got the ‘PCS Blues‘ haha!!

I plugged in the wall connector and it went to 24A/24A (normally I’m at 40A/40A). Failure confirmed in Service Mode. Replacement scheduled for 03/06.

I feel somewhat lucky because I can still supercharge.
