Several of us have gen 3 wall connectors, and these are theoretically compatible with Powershare if we have Powerwalls and a gateway installed. Per Tesla, "Our preferred home charging solution is the Wall Connector or the Universal Wall Connector on a 240 V circuit, but any generation of Wall Connector is compatible with Home Backup if using Powerwall."
However, I have never seen a Powershare icon in my app with the truck plugged in to my gen 3 wall connector which is backed up to my powerwalls v2, nor have I seen any Powershare options in the menus in the CT. All software/firmware in CT/wall connector/gateway are up to date to the best of my knowledge (judging by revision numbers) and all are connected to wifi.
Does anyone have Powershare working with their CT and powerwalls, or are we all in the same boat? Does anyone have Powershare working with UWC + powerwalls (meaning, is it just because I have a gen 3 WC that Powershare is not working--in which case I'd gladly swap out my gen 3 WC for a UWC)?
I saw a similar discussion on TMC but I feel this forum is more helpful for CT topics.
(I started thinking more about this after the LA wildfires began, because redundancy in backup is I think a good thing)
