anyone notice delay in adjusting between low / medium or vice versa....it will get there but doesnt always seem to switch quickly - this is with mode selection, not hitting low, med, high directly.

I am pretty sure the POP sound is the tires slipping on the road. As the suspension changes, the geometry of the wheels changes. They move inward and outward. Once the tension exceeds the traction of the tires there is a sudden movement and a resulting sound.

See this video (at the 2min mark) showing how much the wheels move inward while stationary.
