OK, well that's good to know.

So how many "stacked" chargers does a Long Range Model 3 or Model Y have?
I don't know! I don't own a Tesla nor have I dissected a charger (or paid more than cursory attention to teardowns). You only need enough like you need pocket change to meet specific levels.

I don't even know how many are in my Zero, which can't change its amperage. I think it's four? I do know how many of these units are in the different level 2 charge tanks. The Tesla has much more fine control over amperage than a Zero.

My understanding is that those cars have either two or three that are 16 amps each. The cheaper cars have two and can charge at 32 amps and the cars that are AWD, performance or LR have three of those modules and can charge at 48 amps if the EVSE can deliver that much current.

I don't plan on adding any L2 chargers since I have two 240V outlets already to charge my EVs plus I'm installing a 15.5kW solar sytem with three Tesla Powerwalls to store the excess energy for night-time use.

...So you're going to charge at L1 speeds?

Plugging an L2 EVSE is still 'installing' it.

I don't have any L2 EVSE; just factory charging cables and adapters rated to 30A.

Let me know how the solar panels go. I went from passing $150/month to $270/month after having mine installed...

I'd still say leave one plugged in, even if you're using the mobile connector. High amperage outlets - heck, any wall outlet - isn't designed for as many plugs and unplugs as your EVSE's vehicle plug.

:unsure:You are right. I'm going to order a Tesla universal wall connector that has a NACS plus integrated J1772 adapter. Plus, it comes with a 24ft cable. I'll have it hard wired into my electrical panel(y)

When we got the Model 3 in 2018, we installed the Tesla home charger in the garage and shortsightedly chose the 7' cable option vs the ~25' option. We could easily get by with one home charger for the two vehicles, but the 7' cord will just barely reach if I back the second vehicle up kitty corner to the corner where the charger is mounted. It does not appear that Tesla is currently offering just a replacement cable for purchase. Anyone know if that is an option for me, or will we have to either live with the too short cable or install a second charger outside? ?

What racking did your contractor use?
I haven’t seen height like that in a while

If you are refering to the solar panel racks; all I know is they are cast aluminum with a hallow center where they inject polymer into it to weather seal the anchor.

(MUST NOT GIVE IN TO OBVIOUS LENGTH JOKES!)

Why not try selling the existing one on eBay and buying a new one?
