Does anyone know if there's anyway to use regular autopilot on the CT, even if you have FSD...?

You get TACC or FSD. The CT doesn't have Autosteer like the other models do.
So fkn dumb...I was better off not getting FSD then cause I would've just had regular autopilot right...?

No, you would have just had TACC. Autopilot will come, and probably soon. The spring update finally brought lane keep assist to the CT. That was probably what they were waiting on.

No, there is no Autopilot on the CT with or without FSD. Don't know if there are plans to have it added down the line. Hope there is as I don't really need FSD, and like the Auto Pilot on my Y. Its good enough for my use.

Good to hear. Was hoping it will eventually be there. Just haven't seen much about it.

You can activate FSD without a destination, and it will do basic lane-keeping.

It will also take turns you didn't request
If you pay for it . . . Also, I hate the lane changes I don't want.

Oh thank God...It can't come soon enough. This FSD is so faulty. It disengaged on me 3 different times yesterday for supposedly not paying attention when I was. I'm afraid to use it now because I don't want to get 5 strikes and lose FSD. By the way, do you or does anyone else know how long does FSD get suspended for when you steike

My problem with the FSD is it keeps alerting me to pay attention when I am and it has already force disengaged 3 times, 2 more and its suspended, not sure for how long, so now I'm too paranoid to use it.

I just got an email from Tesla. Autosteer without FSD will not be available for CT!!! I feel like I got bait and switched!!! This was the biggest reason for choosing Tesla over anything else, free Autosteer. What a pile of crap.

Email from Tesla:
ā€œAs we improve our Autopilot technology, our feature sets will change. Accordingly, Autosteer will not be available for Cybertruck outside of Full Self-Driving (Supervised). We encourage you to experience our latest version of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) to immerse yourself in the power of its innovation.ā€

So we have to either pay out the nose for something we don’t wan’t that doesn’t work well for most people or we just suck it up, huh. Plain old Autosteer was the best safety feature on my Model S and the biggest reason I bought that car. I bought the truck under the pretense it would have Autosteer too.

Really hard to believe they’d do that. Is that email from some random sales advisor or someone who really knows?

Base autopilot has been included in all their vehicles for years. I feel like it must be coming, just not quite yet.

Edit: I see now that someone else posted the full email. That blows my mind.

Some people will never buy FSD regardless, or at it’ll take them years to trust FSD. Why take Autopilot away and make the vehicle less safe?

That’s me! 3 Teslas so far and none with FSD. Until I can summon or send the car a distance without a driver, then I’m not interested. Had an FSD trial after buying the CT and shortly afterwards went on a 1+k mile road trip; stopped using FSD in <100 miles. Just don’t like the way it drives. Plus, I don’t like how FSD is tied to a car. IMO, it should be tied to an account.

It sure seems like Tesla was trying to force CT owners to buy FSD but not initially putting in AutoPilot.

All info is clear that Autopilot is a combo of 2 things: AutoSteer (lane centering) AND TACC (aka Adaptive Cruise Control -- distance to car ahead).

See manual differences in this post:
https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...ilot-coming-for-cybertruck.33052/#post-573691

Below says the Cybertruck will not get AutoPilot AutoSteer feature 1 of 2.
