Structural adhesive 2.0 to the rescue.

This may not be the case anymore. Three of my four doors have the delaminating issue. My local SC said they were not able to fix it and had me take it to a Tesla collision center.Only option is replacing the door. There's no other fix.
Im waiting until i know for sure Tesla has the right adhesive and isn't going to just replace the door with another door that will eventually fail as well.
My local SC said they will try a few options but I asked them to have the door ordered and have it in by June 11 as a backup. He said he would not authorize a door replacement as a first step but would order the door. Im really hoping to get this resolved as this seems to be the last of the annoyances. ?This may not be the case anymore. Three of my four doors have the delaminating issue. The center said they now repair the door by disassembling, stripping the failed adhesive and apply a new adhesive supplied by Tesla. Once done, let it cure, reassemble the door and itās good to go.
The adhesive is on back order, but once itās in Iām to bring the truck back and have if fixed.
Is this guy correct and the door no longer needs to be replaced? I have no clue. But he seemed fairly knowledgable and experienced with Cybertruck repairs. So I guess Iām gonna find out.
For those asking my door is still solid after the repair. When I spoke to the service manager at the Tampa SC in February when my door was fixed he said they had just developed a fix theyād use on my door & that theyāre an advanced SC, only 1 of 4 qualified to work on the Roadster blah blah blah... Anyhow my door is still fine since they did the repair in February. The Tampa SC took a look at my door today & said they came up with a fix very recently in their shop involving adding insulation inside the door between the door & panels. This was completed without damaging the door so no need to re-wrap. Iāll pick it up later today & time will tell how permanent this fix is. They did confirm there is no revised door yet so any swaps could be subject to the same problem. Iāll report back if the issue doesnāt seem resolved or reoccurs.
As of this week, my service center said they are still replacing the entire door and they have seen it a few times already. This may not be the case anymore. Did they tell you how they did it or put notes in your ticket? For those asking my door is still solid after the repair. Service told me āknown issue but no fix available at this timeā. Marked my paperwork āwithin specā and sent me on my way. Good thing I leased. Only gotta deal with a rattling door for 23 more months.Ughhh. Just picked up a 52k vin and my drivers door and mirror rattle like crazy over 80. Following this thread.
They replaced my door - now the new door is failing just like you had suggested...Only option is replacing the door. There's no other fix.
