I wonder what wheels are on that? Almost look like black steelies. Which would be nice.

Rear lightbar design looks cool but getting the alignment right on such a thin and straight line across three assemblies sounds like a nightmare. The one piece design on the 2019 proto would have avoided that and looked better given the lack of 'seam' lines.

I was going to say it looks like all the lights are functioning on this one, but I don’t see the rear side marker lights lit, at least in this still grab from the video.

Dude, this thing looks badass. I love the wrap! The light bar on the front and rear look fully functional on this one. I really can’t wait to see this thing on the streets.

“Oh they're definitely rich” is that the impression CT gives?
I seriously doubt that new employees are getting time in the CyberTruck out in public, so these are probably long time Tesla employees with with a fair share of stock options. "Definitely rich" is a reasonable hunch.

The picture in your post is the prototype vehicle. And on that vehicle, yes the under grill lights are indeed the fog lights. They've clearly changed the configuration around a bit, because on the production (beta?) from the OP video, the under grill lights ARE the headlights.

And I've said this before, that in it's current configuration, I'm dubious how effective the actual headlights will be due to various reasons I've stated in a prior comment.

They will never make a diffused LED (which is what the front light bar is) the actual headlights, like you're showing on the prototype - no matter how bright they go - because the light beams have no direction due to their diffused nature.
Do you have any pictures of the lower lights functioning as headlights at night?

No, no you don't.

You seriously believe that they’re going to turn the “extreme ends” of the diffused light bar as headlights by just turning them up brighter than the rest of the light bar? (Like you posted of the prototype)?

If you think Tesla are going to do that - as opposed to implementing actual matrix lights (the most basic of technological features) which seems to be what they’ve done - then I’m afraid you’re seriously mistaken.

The lower lights are not the headlights. That is all.

sure!

these days, certain models of Teslas are what kids associate with wealth

the CT can (as of now) be viewed by even grown-ups as one of those models, as evidenced by this forum's 3,427.6 pricing threads

Yeah not ideal for safety really. It should really have indicators in the mirrors as well, and some position lights down the side. A led light strip accross the apex would probably look cool. But I don't think either will happen.

I find the mirror indicator lights are the most visible and useful indicator lights on the front of a vehicle. I also find the auto dimming headlights that turn off one headlight so you can see the indicator better look dumb, even though it sort of makes sense. Maybe someone will do a LED matrix wrap and you can change the shape of the profile at night to do whatever you like, make it look a lambo or a bug. But they should really consider something more substantial lighting wise on the sides.
