If you watch the bumper part over a few times you'll notice the Ford brakes hard as soon as the CT has punched it.... sorta looks staged ...still fun to watch especially the blowing up part... Overall CT did good

Also, keep in mind the impact was an upward force and trailer load is a downward force. Swaps the tension and compression members.
and the first crash was driving it off the flat bed.
edited- doesn't appear to have hit the ground.

Important to note… the ford couldn’t get across the pipes. It probably would have ripped the whole rear Axel and bed off the F150 from that pipe drop. Such a terrible comparison. The CT got further so it got punished more… plus they didn’t know how to activate the appropriate modes, they didn’t even know how to charge it.
I think a fair way to rate the CT would be to give the CT bonus points for making it across the pipes when the F150 could not.

He went on an on about how important towing is but what about the first test the F150 failed? It didn't even make it off the truck successfully.

Yeah, the truck dismount seemed to not hit
The log pile ripped off the hitch cover, but at least the wood was compliant...

The frame snapping is shocking to me... I guess there really is no replacement for the steel body-on-frame design

Now I really am starting to consider the Silverado EV, with its frame design being another checkbox. I'm RN1151XXXX for a FS Cyberbeast so I still have time to decide

It's coming down to a choice between the Cyberbeast's looks+performance versus an actual EV truck
Upward damage to the tow hitch in the overwhelming abuse. Watch full video where he "discovered" the tow hitch after the abuse tore off the cover after multiple upward shocks to the rear probably initially broke the frame. The chain just pulled it apart.

Point of clarification:
The hitch discovery was after the log pile
The major hitch damage was from the concrete pipe drop onto the concrete block

When the Cybertruck got stuck in the mud while the F150 made it across (the 1st time) it made me realize that when going thru deep mud or snow the extra couple of thousand pounds of mass is really going to make you sink in deep.
Maybe you didn't notice, the mud pit had a deep section and a shallow section. The Cybertruck was purposefully put through the deep section while the F-150 went through the shallow section. When they tried to send the F-150 through the deep section, just to pretend they were being fair, they sent it at high speed and it still got stuck, the Cybertruck had to pull it out.

They had the Cybertruck pull out the stuck F-150 while the Cybertruck was climbing a steep hill, they hoped the Cybertruck would fail to rescue the F-150 because of the steepness of the hill, but it yanked it right out, no problem.

Although I also wonder if the CT was in BAJA mode with locked axels whether it would have fared better.
You have to be in Overland Mode to lock the differential. And of course it wasn't locked, that would make it harder to portray the Cybertruck as weak!

The purpose of the video was to have the "Ford tough" truck come out on top. But the video actually proved the Ford was less capable, less damage resistant and less comfortable on rugged terrain (at least to Whistlin' Diesel, if not his audience). These findings surprised Whistlin' Diesel, you could tell he came away impressed with the capabilities of Cybertruck but he had a lot invested in the production and had to stick with the original story line. The purpose of the video was never to determine which one was actually better or tougher, it was to make his audience feel better about the outdated engineering they drive every day. I think it succeeded at that, but not in as dramatic fashion as Whistlin' originally envisioned.

Yea and the dropping off those cement 'speed bumps' hit the rear har too- I rated it: 6 CT -2 BO - It was just amazing to watch all the torture he put it thru...

Great summary .. The humor and damage was fun to watch. I actually think he was impressed by the CT....he knows how the cheating was done - the CT is more than capable to set more records. 1/4 mile -speed, Tractor Pulls, Races on and off road... Sales...

You miss the part where they dropped the truck from like 6+ feet directly onto the trailer hitch on a cement ledge? That very likely cracked the frame and pulling out the f-150 just finished the job.

Unless you are planning on putting the truck through that scenario I think you will be just fine

Exactly. No frame snapping here in these recent tractor pull contests.

how much does a tractor pull sled weigh?

The weight of a tractor pull sled can vary widely depending on the type of competition and the class of tractors involved. Generally, sleds used in professional tractor pulling competitions can weigh between 40,000 to 65,000 pounds (18,144 to 29,484 kilograms). The weight includes the sled itself and any additional weights added during the competition to increase resistance.

This part of the video left a bad taste in my mouth. It just looks like it was slapped on there. I'm guessing that's why people were having an issue with the front portion flopping around. The air probably scooped it right up.
Kind of flimsy, but I'm ok with it. Probably easier and cheaper to replace compared to metal work on another truck if dented or scratched.
