So, you have determined that discussing the mission is played out, but you're complaining about opinion police? Do you see the inconsistency here? I mean, really???
One is someone saying what they personally can live without, not making any grand statements. And then opinion police telling them that they should to buy a 100 year old ICE truck.

And the other is someone responding to a direct response where their opinion is being crucified by someone trying to speak on behalf of a company as if to know it's intentions for adding features. Using the mission as a justification for every frivolity.

I see no contradiction.

Yes, there are a few things on the CT that are there for kicks.
Every penny counts when trying to market to the masses.

Again, I'm sorry it looked like the whole thing was directed at you. That wasn't the case and that's on me.

I don't personally care about the arrows or bulletproofness, I'm interested in the rust resistance and door ding resistance
Karen was sure she could put a ding in that new Cybertruck...

Well if you want to pay 80-110K for a triangle truck that you can shoot arrows at and go 0-60 in 3 secs. Seriously there are a lot more practical features on Ford and Chevrolet trucks than the CT. Tesla spends money on the CT on some questionable things (Elon whims) where as others are spending money on things their customers have asked for over decades.

The CT has a better charging network and L2 driving system which are strong points for me. If those were equal in the Ford T3 or others the CT would likely drop a lot lower on many peoples list except for the superfans that like arrows and tommy guns entertainment.
what are these more practical Ford and Chevy features of which you speak?

No. Rear window doesn’t roll down, no HVAC in vault, and no midgate

let’s think about MSRP instead?
If the rear window doesn't move, why would they not add a slide to it like every other truck I have had?

you'd have to ask Tesla that one

but if anyone cared about my guess: they did the math on actual utility to customer, vs added complexity of manufacture, vs added resulting cost to vehicle, and decided - at least for now - it aint on the first release vehicles

afterall, your trucks also probably have door handles...

When we bought our 2010 F-150, we could have had it either way. We opted for non-opening because it makes the cab harder to break into and the sliders didn't come with electric defrost.

If the Cybertruck window is a fixed window, you can bet your shorts that the window is structural, to reduce the amount of weight of the bulkhead. That's just how Tesla rolls. A window that opens cannot be structural so the bulkhead around it needs to be beefed up.

Light, strong, rigid, water-tight and maintenance-free might just be more fundamental advantages than a window many will rarely open.

Factory installed 9mm bulletproof glass option for Cybertruck is well worth $10K.
I would pay $10K immediately.
At $10K I would order this option for all 5 of my Cybertruck reservations.
Checkout our website www.cybertruckglass.com we can make all the windows bulletproof level IIIA for that price. They will roll up and down.

I test drove Cybertruck last week. I asked if the rear window goes down. They said "no". They said that would cause a "reduction in body strength", which does not make sense. I rather think it is a cost issue.
However, having half of the window sliding (right side) should not be expensive at all.

BTW, this company makes opening rear window for the CT:
https://breezerwindows.com/product/tesla/

I'm not sure if it voids the warranty.

Why is it hard to believe it's structural? The roof certainly is.

Also, there's a tonnaeu cover that passes by the window and no sensors from stopping in traveling that path.

Those are the biggest reasons they didn't make it open/close.
