This should post should probably be put in its own thread. May do that later.
Why not just do 2 windshield wipers. One on each side?
I've spent a fair amount of time cleaning my TMX windshield for myself and passengers while on road trips ....
... it sure appears like that single wiper does a lousy job of clearing the full passenger side.

An alternative view might be that the mud is really skillful at covering various materials. If it was night, you might not be able to even see the headlights. I'm certain that all but the main center camera are so covered up as to be essentially useless. What happens to 360-degree view in this scenario?

Agreed. They could have 2 that alternate. Oh well, I'm still getting one!

No, the CT Gigawiper is actually covering more of the passenger side than you current wiper on your X, which doesn't get that bottom of the purple triangle, either.

I don’t mean to be a debbie downer but ive seen hyundai crossovers do this before as well as awd cars.
Sure. But who cares? This is by far the most interesting photo of the Cybertruck to come out. We should be stoked about it. Obviously the truck will be capable of more challenging things than the testing course pictured here.

Sadly I'm not really expecting Tesla to go on a continental off road marketing tour like Rivian did. Would have been cool if they did that two years ago to help set the narrative for the CT. Too late now. The CT will be judged based on its actual merits soon enough. In the meantime, I'm glad these photos show a tougher side to the truck, rather than the shiny alien technology narrative.

So am I correct to think that they will ramp from several hundred a month to 10k a month somewhere in the Oct, Nov, Dec range?

Odd ball question: Is there any framework for Tesla to do an in/out tradein? Where you bring the new buyer and the vehicle and Tesla just instantly sells it and pockets a couple grand? I have a buyer for $6k more than Tesla offering in trade so just wondering if Tesla has thought about capturing that margin?

That just means the task is left for the external marketing team: US!!!!

Can’t wait to meet y’all out on the trails.

Hell yeah!

There's a notoriously bad road around these parts that is well known for breaking all kinds of trucks. I've seen this road bust a few oil pans and at least one transfer case. I have vowed to never take my own vehicle up there. And yet, I'm wondering if I might try it with the CT......

That is unclear to me based on the arc of the passengers TMX dedicated wiper pivoting in the center of the windshield.
It seems like the TMCt will leave more rain drops/mud/etc in the upper right.

We're only a couple of months away from actual CT deliveries and we still can't confirm REAL pricing and ACTUAL features on these things. And NO ONE has even seen the frunk space?

By the way, like half of the features we were promised ON THE OFFICIAL TESLA PRESENTATION SLIDES are not even being delivered, truth.

This is bizarre.

No preorders will be converted to deliveries prior to next earning report. If all goes well we'll get details Q3 earnings report. Even a slight delay will likely push that back to Q4. You're listen to the wrong people.

What event other than the delivery event could it possibly warrant? Specs like that have historically been revealed in earnings calls.
But not this far in advance of preorders being converted to deliveries. I certainly don't want a CT until the production betas undergo a several m months of testing. I delayed my first preorder deposit 10 minutes because I want it to be at least 6 months after the first production beta comes out.

No, because in both cases the wiper is moving in a circular motion and reaches the far corner of the windshield. The arcs will be almost identical, and the Gigawiper will not suddenly reduce its reach as in your picture. Further, the flat nature of the CT windshield and the way it sits ON the a pillar and not into it as in your model X, means the wiper can actually extend beyond the pillar line and clear more of the windshield.
