I wonder how much weight is added when fully charged
You should not wonder. Zero is the answer. Battery cells are sealed, so unless you can explain the physics of where that extra mass would come from, this can be the only answer. Charging the battery does change the chemical properties of the material in the battery, but it does not add or change mass, at least measurably.

Electrons are VERY heavy so keep that charge low. My Model Y also gets heavier with each software update. ;-)

BTW, to add to the other commenters: software options (though heavy) do not add to the price consideration for the federal rebate.

how for sure are you on this? Don't software options add to the MSRP which is the main consideration?

The tri motor on the Plaid only adds 200 pounds and I suspec the battery will weigh about 500 pounds more ( if it is a 350 vs 500) so 700 pound minimum between the trims. ( unknown if 4 wheel steering is standard on both or not) but the possibliity for the 500 mile version is still there.

there.

is.

no.

500mi.

version.

(for now)

so let's direct the maths outward from that assumption, if we're trying to divine weights, etc.

"Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price" includes everything factory-installed (i.e., on the "sticker"). It doesn't include floor mats, undercoating, extended warranties, or software upgrades.

Does the cargo capacity include passengers? I always thought they meant just non-passenger cargo but now that I think of it that doesn't make sense from a regulatory point of view. So if a Ford F-150 has a 2,000 pound cargo capacity (I do not know what its cargo capacity is) that could include 1,000 pounds of people and only have a usable cargo in the bed of less than 1,000 pounds? If so then the same argument applied to the CT would result in a useful cargo capacity of 2,500 pounds. Still a lot. Just wondering.
Passengers, luggage and any accessories have always been counted towards cargo capacity.

The Hummer EV pickup is not as tough as it looks. Sure, it has room for five big workmen in the CrewCab (barely), but if they have an average weight of 250 lbs. (with lunches, drinks and jackets) then you can't even put one sheet of 3/4" plywood in the bed without exceeding the allowed GVWR!

Some "truck" that is! And it's well over $100K (if you can even find one), let alone at MSRP.

But, but, but the Hummer EV looks so big and imposing, muscular and tough! Yeah, just don't put anything too heavy in it.

For those of you complaining we don't have Cybertruck Specs yet:

True, it's not been released to the public. But, here's the thing, I just wasted over an hour trying to find reliable specs for for the various Hummer EV offerings (if you can call them that). I won't say they are not out there, somewhere, but I don't think you can trust most sources because they only list 1,300 cargo capacity without specifying which trim/range/etc. This is probably the maximum and implies some trims/years have less than that. I've seen the weight listed from just over 9K to over 9.6K. And pricing seems all over the board too.

It's pitiful that a truck that weighs over 4 1/2 tons can barely carry much more than a 1/2 ton!

Digits 12-17: Unique serial number
000001-999999
adding just one little tweak to this

digit 12 becomes a numerical value only when retail production units begin

prior to retail production units, digit 12 indicates pre-production unit stage per below

esla’s VINS generally:

Tesla Cybertruck Cybertruck VIN decoder! -- GVWR Vehicle Weight Revealed + **only** Dual and Tri Motor for 2024 529f587a-61a7-4b6a-ac1f-3ffc3c3be410-jpeg

Where Digits 12 - 17:

IN PRE-RETAIL PRODUCTION:

DIGIT 12 PRE-retail Production series:
before retail production, this digit 12 will be an A = alpha, B = beta, R = release candidate, S=Signature, F=Founders

WHEREAS DIGITS 13-17: production sequence, and for above pre-production categories will generally start with a batch number in the hundredths

e.g., each Alpha could be “AXX3XX,” whereas each beta “BXX4XX” and so on

IN RETAIL PRODUCTION

After retail Production starts, digit 12 has a 0-9 digit here as the first of 6 digits in the production sequence to allow for 999,999 cars
e.g., here's the RC unit VIN spotted several weeks ago, notice the 'R' in the 12th digit place:

Link in the original post. Tesla is required by law to submit VIN decoder info within 60 days from initial sales. This was posted to the NHTSA by Tesla on 8/23/2023, but just finally showed up on the public database today. I've been checking regularly in anticipation.
Nice work, having formerly worked for Ford and having my dealers license for a few years I was wondering who would figure this out :)

I'm also glad to see that the quad motor thing is - finally - laid to rest.
