Most people don't hold their grudge that long. They will be pissed for while and maybe be the squeaky wheel online, going from fanboy to never-CTer, but very few would actually hold onto the grudge if the CT became an actual smart option for them to buy down the line.You
Understand that just because they have 2 million people on the wait-list doesn't mean they can burn 90% of them by jacking up the prices. Once those people are gone, they're gone. They will probably spread negativity about being burned for years and years to millions of people. You can't just burn good faith with most people and expect everything to be okay.
Not to say they couldn't do some level of PR damage during their hating days, but most will just sulk quietly and bitch among their friends when their friends ask them where their CT is.
I say all this as someone who may very well have to answer that question after telling everyone I know for the last 4 years that I'm getting one. All I will be able to say is, "I didn't say when I was getting one, and it didn't meet my expectations yet, so I kept my trusty F150 (or I bought this used RAM), to hold me over for another 6-10 years."
