-Elon Musk and tesla are REALLY COOL
-Steer by wire is great and takes getting used to
-48V is great and why hasn't anyone done this already...
-The seats are great and the rear seats are spacious
-Tesla is working on the $25k tesla and Elon is reviewing the plant plans weekly. Will be produced at Giga Texas then probably Mexico.
-What took so long- pandemic and parts shortages
-Sandy gave him a gift which appears to be a stainless steel magnetic bottle opener.
-Elon Musk is REALLY COOL, anyone against his free speech policies sucks, the education systems sucks and America is going down the toilet.

I can't help but feel like Musk pulls that out as an excuse when he's more genuinely feeling that he simply doesn't want to discuss that here, with this person, at this time.

Not only that but he left slip that the Mexico Gigafactory wouldn't be built in time, which brackets his expectation on when they want the 25k Tesla to be produced. The Wiki for the factory says that "In September 2023, multiple Tesla suppliers indicated that production was not expected to start until 2026 or 2027..." That kind of exposes expectation that the new vehicle would be ramping within a 3-4 year window.

So... does this possibly explain the Munro-Kanye character arch of late?

Does it explain the interview access, the exuberance, the lack of seemingly Munro-esque balanced treatment?

Does it have anything to do with the period of time that Cory left?

Because this character arch's last big shift sort of tracks that departure time.

Yeah, EM said GFMX wouldn't be done in time so production will start at GFTX. Considering how fast these factories get up and running, that's a pretty bold proclamation as to how far along they think they are with the vehicle development. Then again, EM is nothing, if not a producer of bold proclamations.

The only "new" news was that the $25K car will be built in Austin before Mexico. WTF was Sandy on about towards the end? Took a semi-serious engineering discussion and turned it in to a love/hate political fest.

Elon was very tight lipped when responding to questions.

Mr. Monroe needs to stick to vehicle tear downs as he is not a great interviewer. It was obvious that he and Mr. Musk were both tired. Yawn…
