I created a table using MotorMatchup data.

Tesla Cybertruck Chart of Traveling_speed / Total_range / Efficiency - via MotorMatchup data 7l6wTd

[10-Dec-2023 correct to add delta in for the R.E. on the Total Range column]

UPDATE: added this chart sorted differently with some new % columns (Drop in Range and Rise in Wh/mi per every 5 mph increment).

Seems directionally right, judging by my wet thumb in the air!

two things though, might be nice to show the AT vs street deltas, which are material based on the info in the ordering screenshots

second that I don’t quite understand your RE max ranges straightforwardly from the chart, except that I assume you’re listing the figure for only what you get out of the native pack - the separate range from the RE itself being ignored here only for purposes of understanding the native pack efficiencies given speeds, weight, etc.

might save you some time defending yourself to have a column that brakes out normal pack, next to a bracketed* cell for RE range, next to a bracketed cell for total combinesnet Range

*bracketed because we can’t assume the RE will have the same characteristics of the native pack, and this chart’s figures is extrapolating from the native pack known ranges

Thanks much for the feedback. I took at stab at it but adding in the Range Est column.
Also added two footnote rows after the main table.
Best my brain can do at this time. I'm studying instruction manual on putting together a wall murphy bed for tomorrow. Lot of boxes and lot of parts. Will enjoy the project with my kids tho.

enjoy yourself (and the kids!)

Seems the chart is only based on the street tire stated EPA range, efficiency, etc. Which is all great.

just also interesting to see what all these figures are in an AT tire, since they’ll apparently range from 10% lower at EPA conditions, but then moreso ar hey speeds

Afterall, apparently the street tires aren’t even available yet to purchase and won’t be until sometime in 2024

ultimately, when people are going to order a CT, they could have some idea as to what range they are selecting when they select which tire (when it comes to Hwy speeds)

that “301” mi CT on ATs may be 190mi range if they prefer to drive 75mph

Thanks for all that. I went and found a page on MotorMatchUp that indicated they are using the All-terrain (AT) tires so I updated the chart (v3) to make everything relative to that. The footnote still shows the mysterious AS tires.

Interesting chart. So it uses about twice the kW of my 2018 M3P!

I would think there would be a bigger jump at the higher speeds (looks like it averages about a 5% increase with each 5 MPG speed increase (I would have thought more exponential?)

Good questions. I added another chart sorted differently and with % columns in the top post.

I'm confused by your chart @scottf200 . Why is the Dual AWD R.E. showing up with lower total range than without R.E.? Formula error?
Doh! Oh heck. I had added in the delta for the R.E. to the Est Range column but not the 'Total Range' column. Corrected.

delta 130 mi (470-340) - CT AWD Dual
delta 120 mi (440-320) -CT AWD Tri-Beast

I've removed my factory mirrors. I'll be taking a 1850 mile interstate road trip next month. I hope to see some indication of improved range compared to the same trip taken 6 months ago. The anticipated 3% to 4% increase in highway range with the mirrors removed is based on 0.005 reduction in Cd and a 3% reduction in frontal cross sectional area. A 3% to 4% increase in range could easily be masked by other factors. No matter, mirror removal contributes to improved efficiency irrespective of other efficiency factors (wind, rain, temperature, tire pressure, speed, altitude, etc).
