Just checked mine and there is no affect to the $250 deposit for the Foundation orderso this doesn't seem to be affecting already-placed foundation series orders, right?
Yep, that is what I paid when I converted to an order for Model 3.If I remember correctly it was 2500 back in 2018 in the early days of the model 3
well, the $100 is refundable......the $1,000 is not....a big disappoint with Tesla...320 mile range and an additional 16k for more.......service centers I dont think will be able to service or repair within a good timeframe and insurance with USAA is an additional $1800 on top of what I pay them now for a Model S and 3.....I'm saying goodbye Mr Musk....and for those of you who will say great that I am leaving, it's only gonna bump those after reservation 46,146.....the truck that was gonna be "affordable" for the average truck driver has turned into a rich man's toy....I am so tired of getting emails from Tesla asking me to move up by buying the Beast for 120,000 when I had thought I was going to be able to get e tri-motor for $69,000 and $8,000 for FSD.... nope no more CT forever increasing price for me...you rich boys can have my place in line...good luck.....hope nobody breaks down within the first 5,000 milesProbably saves them a lot of phone calls .. some cancel, some defer
If you pay $1000, good chance you are ready now.
happy to do it - invite me!BREAKING:
Starting today, Cybertruck reservation holders will have to pay a $1,000 early access deposit to convert existing reservations into orders (once Tesla invites you to configure and order your Cybertruck).
It will be credited to your final purchase price upon delivery.

the $100 is for a no stakes reservation deposit from years back saying you are interested and to hold your place in line. $1000 is saying your order is coming up and we are confirming that you are actually going to purchase. Pretty sure I even paid a non refundable deposit for my model 3 which was actually higher than this $1000 and as other people here are saying, other companies have the same non refundable deposit on some of their newer models.well, the $100 is refundable......the $1,000 is not....a big disappoint with Tesla...320 mile range and an additional 16k for more.......service centers I dont think will be able to service or repair within a good timeframe and insurance with USAA is an additional $1800 on top of what I pay them now for a Model S and 3.....I'm saying goodbye Mr Musk....and for those of you who will say great that I am leaving, it's only gonna bump those after reservation 46,146.....the truck that was gonna be "affordable" for the average truck driver has turned into a rich man's toy....I am so tired of getting emails from Tesla asking me to move up by buying the Beast for 120,000 when I had thought I was going to be able to get e tri-motor for $69,000 and $8,000 for FSD.... nope no more CT forever increasing price for me...you rich boys can have my place in line...good luck.....hope nobody breaks down within the first 5,000 miles
