So is it actually a 'Recall', or just a production change where supplies are delayed? Are current Cybertruck owners getting notifications to bring their CT in to get their covers changed, or is it just a change for vehicle deliveries going forward? Are CT owners getting correspondence from Tesla with the word 'Recall' being used?

I'd be careful using that word with frivolous universal or false examples, unless something is being requested (recalled) for return to Tesla. We don't want to give NHTSA any more ideas to 'broaden' their (interpretation) of the word any further than they already have.

But I’d add that if they aren’t requiring current owners to return the ones they have it Makes my position even worse since I already bought em and they won’t send them.

I have a full conversation with tesla app CS. They call it a “parts containment pending new revision”…. Reasoning “possible damage to tire” . They stopped short of calling it a recall… also said it was “under investigation”.

Said they won’t send the ones I already bought and cancelled my appt for tomorrow morning to install them. Really bizarre. i asked about what the new design looks like and if people that have them now will need to send theirs back. No answer, so I don’t know what redesigned covers (that I didn’t buy) they are sending me whenever they actually send them.

I love how some people make a huge deal out of this. It’s a brand new model with literally ground breaking new technology and it has a minor issue with hubcaps??? lol. If you are super angry about this please sell your CyberTruck back to Tesla and let some more deserving human being enjoy it

If you’re really into Tesla you should know this kind of thing happens all the time with a Tesla new launch. Maybe not right but it always happens.

Hell man, my 2018 M3 showed up with no pedal covers, no rear Tesla logo and no Dual Motor decal. They never did install the pedal covers….

I do agree with you tho. It is what it is. Have fun with your truck! I guarantee there are hundreds or even thousands of peeps out there that would take that truck regardless of the lack of hub caps. Perspective my man.
