I ordered 12/22/23 and was told yesterday when I asked a Tesla employee at Dublin, CA when I would see a truck, they laughed and said so so sorry. Literally said, "so so sorry, maybe end of year or 2025". ?Only delivering so far to 12/8 and 12/9 orders and employees first." literally came out of their mouth
That is certainly disconcerting, and highly unprofessional if you ask me. They service center/showroom people really don't know all that much more than any of us, as I have been told by Tesla employees who are friends, and from what I have learned from the forums. That all said, I would take it all with a grain of salt and stay positive. One day, we will all have our trucks and laugh about this crap, just to keep these threads going

Hang in there!

not sure if people paying FS is getting it for value, just to get it first mainly.
Google search says there was only going to be 1000 FS...not sure where it got that idea, but that's kinda how I justified paying $20k extra.

We have up to 12/28 orders receiving VINs now. They are producing probably 30-50 per day right now it appears. I do expect this to increase daily now and in the next two weeks we should see Jan orders start to get VINs, then two weeks or so after that, some Jan orders start to get delivered.
that would be fantastic. I've watched way too many CT videos. At this point all I want to see is one parked in my garage.

They might have meant it when they said it, but the folks at Tesla have no problem changing their minds. I wouldn't bet a dollar on that number.

Like Many have said before, those showroom folks mean well and know nothing. Logistics would know but you are unlikely to talk with them. Your sales contact is the person to talk to if you have one.

Really? Having one of the first 1,000 CTs will have no value at all. Getting a CT while the rest of us wait has value but has nothing to do with how many. And it has been well discussed that there is material value to the FS CT: wheels and tires, FSD, connectivity, power sharing, and some doodads. One could argue that the actual extra is about $5K.

FSD cost only $6k when I ordered, so actual extra is more like 14-15k.

that means there are more than 16,000 foundation series orders...that makes FS less valuable.
Yea...........welcome to "The Year of The Foundation Series"
FS was always a way for Tesla to generate more revenue per vehicle, and they never said the limit, they may make 100,000 FS

@Jhodgesatmb

they started producing trucks for sale (including the delivery event vehicles) about 7 days before the deliver event, or 12 weeks ago yesterday

As of ~last week, they’d produced no more than ~2,000 trucks total in the proceeding 11 weeks

For this 12th week, if your guess of 500/wk is correct, it would seemingly assume a step change occurred

No way? 2025 if you completed your order in Dec of 2023?!?!
Those are supposed to be getting delivered April-May of 2024 and if you ordered mid Dec you are in front of a LOT of other Foundation Series orders.

I ordered on Jan 10 and have been checking this site daily lol...and I noticed that Tesla is still delivering to customers who ordered on Dec. 9 2023, which is roughly the first 200 orders on the orders list. I thought Tesla has reached 50 trucks per day production rate a while ago? Even if they only make 10 Cybertrucks per day the first 200 should have been all delivered by Dec. 20 (20 days since Nov. 30 delivery event). So either there are more than 20x orders out there that are not registered on this site (24,000 Foundations Series, first 200 on list means 4000 actual orders and 4000/50 = 80 days), or Tesla has been producing at 3 Cybertrucks per day (Nov.30 - Feb 15 = 77 days), which also seems ridiculous. Can someone please chime in? Am I going crazy or is my math wrong??
you seem to be assuming your reservation is going to be served sequentially, when there is no evidence of Tesla following that pattern in the past or present. They are building and shipping particular variants more than others (More dual motors than tri-motors) they are sending those Dual motors primarily to CA and TX due to their existing logistical channels, while slowly opening up more and more states. There is in the end far more variables you are not factoring in. Many people are getting their CT's, just not in some highly obvious sequential pattern.

FS has basically NO value other then to get your truck first... if i had a choice between FS or non FS at the same time literally EVERYONE would choose non FS. i would be totally fine ordering and NOT being forced to buy stupid FSD when i dont want it.
