I agree the cyber has matrix lights. The beam and light pattern are exact to my friends new Model S with the matrix lights. Even how they go from high to low beam light pattern is identical.
I forgot to mention that when you turn the high beams on instead of just being on they kind of rise up. It is like a curtain being lifted

Let's say the cybertruck does have the matrix headlights does that mean if the high beams are on it would automatically dim each LED so you wouldn't have to shut the high beams off?

That is how matrix headlights are supposed to work, yeah. It gives the effect of sticking you hand in front of the light, if you were looking at the shadow.

My Mazda does this, but it has a physical shutter in the lens assembly. There's no moving parts in a Tesla headlamp!

Yes, that is EXACTLY what matrix headlights are doing in this picture and related videos.

Annotated it to make it extra clear.

Exactly. The rise up is the big visual difference I can see on the matrix lights in my friends model S. I really think the cyber have them

didnt Wes post on x that the CT doesnt have "adaptive" lights? seems pretty conclusive and upsetting to me, why all the continuous discussion / speculation?

Ok, now that's confusing. I've found this particular thread and asked a clarifying question and tagged a few X account that may be relevant. I appreciate if you repost it, so that the chance of these accounts see the post is higher. Thanks.

The way I interpreted the messages from Lars and Wes was that Lars was referring to HW and Wes was describing the currently implemented functionality.

I hope you are right! Nevertheless, if somebody clarifies it, I'll post it here.
