My Service Center advised me they will not proactively replace the PCS.

I charge normally on 24amps at home anyways due to utilizing an existing receptacle which is sufficient for my need.

If not currently a Rev -G PCS starting 9/2026 new builds, it should break
Check the hidden service menu for alerts
If none, start super charging preferably up to 325 kw to break your PCS
Look for, after good 30 minute Precond, you don’t get 325-280 kw 10-50% SOC
Then an alert should be present
If not keep repeating
Then get the new PCS -G

Does Supercharging ‘break’ the PCS? I thought only charging at 40amps L2 does it.

I have charged at low SOC and have the truck de-rate to 34kW everytime it goes above 250kW for a few seconds. I don’t know if that’s indicative. I have showed them this and put it on the ticket but they say to says due to site capacity, etc.

I just took at 1000+ mile journey and Supercharged from low SoC many times. I got that "de-rate" bounce at only 1 location, and I was the only vehicle present lol.

I presume it was an issue with that particular stall. 🤷‍♂️

How I feel reading the last 18 pages of this thread. Those of us nearing the end of warranty without a PCS that hasnt failed yet.

Will a third party warranty cover it?

Supercharging bypasses the PCS (unless the ACJB fails).

my CT has free supercharging
I’ve never L2 charged, only L3
My PCS failed and was replaced
That’s good to know. Did you experience any anomalies while charging at low SOC and speeds above 250kW?

Interesting
Had you used the outlets or Powershare?
The failure might be detected during power on self test versus operation and result due to overall PCS thermal cycles or cumulative voltage stress (DC side is exposed to HV while truck is awake) versus use of the DCAC converters themselves.

I would ask the dealer what is the best way to make the PCS fail so you can get it fixed under warranty. Have you asked if they would replace under warranty anyway? I would hate for the PCS to fail after warranty and they tell you that its going to cost $6000 to repair.

Seems really fishy that they claim there is a PCS service bulletin that is only affecting a specific VIN range. Yet I haven't seen a single instance of customers being notified like a normal bulletin. The only conclusion left is that they are trying to dodge the repair under warranty.

It just looks a bit sketch if they can see your VIN has a known issue, they don't proactively alert for a replacement, and they (like for some of these high mileage customers) still charge 6-7k for the repair outside of warranty.

Technically it would be out of warranty but ... that just looks really really bad imo if thats the case.

not to mention the magical 2026+ warranty changes that cover the PCS for longer.

So I took mine in for a rotation, HEPA, and some wind noise. A previous service visit where the wind noise wasn't fixed, and the alert was not addressed. So I had an over temp alert, and this was the result. So the typical future update blah blah....
