Correct, the changes occur constantly on the assembly line. I think Elon had mentioned years back that the managers are required to make efficiency changes every month or so to simplify production and to cut costs wherever possible, hence the missing Tesla trunk badge on my 24 model S hahaha.True. As production volumes increased, Tesla started making the switch to the new model year a month or two before the actual end of the calendar year, which was a smart move for obvious reasons. But the switch is generally not associated with any specific changes, those happen continuously.
