My VIN was born 2.8 ending in 2212
Here is VIN 1470 from 1.26 in a delivery center lot.

This isn't to say 57 are being delivered daily, that's not true. But, they certainly seem to be moving it along!!

That was the production rate back when we still had the automatic VIN tracker, which was about 3-4 weeks ago. It was ramping steadily then. I sure hope the rate is many more than 50ish per day nowadays.

1470 vin was activated 1/26/24 so it matched the "MGR Date" exactly. That's why they took down the recall site.

Also, on the math..... vins 1179-1198, 77-98 (tri), 100-103+ (tri) were all activated between 1/26 and mid day 2/1 (point of recall site going down). So add at least 45 between 1470 and 2212.

Sounds right. I think we had a bit of a dip in daily production for the last couple weeks, but we seem to be moving nicely now. I expect a nice increase in the next week or two. We shall see.

Not to mention there were, as I recall, gaps in the VIN list so they may have gone back and filled those gaps. I seem to recall VIN 1000 just recently got delivered for instance.

Meaning, you’re assuming they built every VIN between 1470 and 2212

which you know good and well, having followed/drafted this forum’s VIN tracking thread, is a tenuous assumption to assert with the bluster of “do the math”

you have no idea, at the end of the day, how many VIN gaps are between 1470 and 2212, and you know it, but don’t state it?

Because makes for good xwitter fan fiction?


they could be producing far more than 742 in that period (if they’re eg building them all in that range, plus others in prior gaps - or out ahead of 2212), or far less (if they eg have a gap between 1480 and 2200).

I visited my local Tesla dealer/showroom, whatever you want to call it and the rep there said I won't expect a truck until end of 2024 to mid 2025 since I ordered Foundation 12/22/23. The Dec to March 2024 Delivery will never happen. 12/8, 12/9 only this year will have deliveries. Select few older orders but not many. 10s of Thousands a day since 12/8 ordered and Im amongst a half million before me that ordered Foundation. 1k, 10k, etc, etc that people put out there for Foundation only does not exist. Very Gloomy times now. Dang IT!!!
