The title of the thread should be changed to read,

67% of a surveyed group who are not reservation holders say no to CT

Hopefully, admin will make a fix.
which also means that 1/3 of people with no reservation want to buy one.

This all plays into ones own opinions and desires. Analysts who get paid to make predictions say uptake of around 20%.

Some here are are of the opinion that there will be a perpetual backlog and any cancelations will be more than filled in by new orders. Im going to listen to the pros.

Similar priced f150L, and arguably with as much appeal to the the general public,
Not only does not require reservations anymore, my local dealer has 16 of them for sale

I’ll take whatever Jay Leno takes. So if he goes with the AWD, I’ll take that.

That would probably make a good poll here.

Reservation holders, if you had the opportunity on 1/1/24 to buy one of the two Cybertruck models that are to be offered in 2024, which would you buy?

if the poll was not conducted exclusively with reservation holders, then the results are irrelevant.

" Canaccord would not disclose the total number of people surveyed, but did note that it included a broad group of respondents who were not among the 2 million Cybertruck reservation holders. Currently reservation holders must put down a deposit of $250 for the EV pickup. "

the CT production is relevant to the 2M reservation holders only. the rest are just irrelevant witnesses for the next 2-3 years. what a waste of time Canascord. who taught you to poll... :)
this another BS survey from some wall street BS'r who has short position against tesla. there was similar article about tesla survey where some "analyst" did survey about purchase intent to buy tesla car in his "hamptons neighborhood" and declared that nobody wants tesla cars.

I would be curious to see survey results for intent to buy toyota camry and toyota tundra and even F150 Lighting. I bet results will be in single digits.
I say 33% positive intent towards CT is actually incredibly high number for "unortodox" design and given how much hate is there toward tesla from the left. Prove me wrong. :)

67% of those surveyed from a pool of non-reservation holders say they will not buy the CT. Elsewhere, Analysts predicted over all conversion rate even lower at 20%

It’s understandable since most news outlets report over a million preorders, so if you wanted one . . It would be at least 1 or 2 vehicles down the road. (Average USA vehicle ownership is about 3-4 years, I believe.)
If I didn’t have a reservation, I would probably also respond that I have no interest in purchasing a CT knowing that I couldn’t get one for 3 years or more out.
Right?

Is there anybody who has received delivery confirmation and is yet willing to sell the reservation? I am ready to pay big cash for your spot. I desperately need to buy a cybertruck, in any configuration, as soon as possible.

I won’t be ready on 1/1. But later in the year there’s a spot in my driveway reserved for the AWD.
