Doing 10K miles starting in 5 weeks, going for 5 weeks...my PCS failed this week.

I see it as a plus. I can still charge at 24 amps, and I now have free supercharging for 90 days. That's like a grand of free supercharging for my trip.

Fingers crossed it pops in a moderate way for yours also, before your trip! Some people lose supercharging or all AC charging, hopefully that doesn't happen to you...

Oh, just saw, you're taking the X instead. I say use the truck anyway for the trip. Odds are high that you'll still be able to supercharge if it happens. And you'd get free charging within hours of it happening.
previous to it failing, what rate did you charge at home?

I got mine replaced last month with the “G” version. I used my truck for a 3-hours drive. Before the trip, i fully charged my truck @ 100% at home using my level 2 mobile charger. And as soon as it reached 100% all the outlet s have been disabled. Tried to took it out all the plugged accessories but it failed to reset. I drove it for few kms then the outlets went back to normal. I charged 100% twice using supercharger and the outlet issue happened the same. Also, I noticed i got free supercharger. Is this in relation with the pcs issue that’s why i have free supercharging?. I got my truck more than a year ago and it was the only time i used supercharger.

Tesla gives 90 days of free Supercharging when they see the PCS AC charging failure .
Outlets disabled at 100% SOC is a known behavior (possibly bug, possibly pack protection versus reactive power)
