Ok, don’t know if this has been discussed. But haven’t read anywhere if Tesla is recalling all CT from November 2023 to now. Or is this just seven days ago till now models?

Safety first!

And earlier this month a gentleman was turning corner in older CT and let off accelerator and mashed brakes but it didn’t slow.

Maybe they are checking the brakes too?

Got a VIN assigned yesterday in Ohio. FWIW, I also signed my PowerShare Gateway install estimate on Monday. RN 11/29, Order 3/5, PS 4/15, VIN 4/16. FS AWD. Not influencer, large shareholder (LT shareholder but not even close to 500 level) or referral pts. I do own an M3LR and MYLR. No idea how that happened, except Ohio needs to catch up on deliveries. Haven't seen any on the road.

Yes, all for an easy fix.
This is a critical aspect in the car and a basic oversight that Tesla missed. An 'easy fix' doesn't take away from the fact that they screwed up the design ... but at least it is angular so it fits with the theme of the CT ... haha /s

I remember it being posted that VINs were assigned at production, as they rolled down the line. Does anyone know, or can confirm, when the VINs are actually assigned to the buyer?
dont think they are assigned as they leave the facory, i think its more likely they are assigned as they are loaded in the outbound lot because we are seeing VINS on sundays and the factory is closed sundays. but the outbound lot is likely still operational

I just submitted my survey to see if I qualify. What was the estimate you received if you don’t mind sharing? I know that there are a lot of variables but I’m assuming it’s in the thousands.

What part of Ohio are you from? My wife and I saw a CT cross our path at Easton in Columbus, Ohio. I was driving and it happened so fast, so we weren’t able to get a picture. It’s very exciting to see one in person. Next time I hope it’s parked somewhere, so I can get a closer look. I’m not aware of any showrooms or service centers in our area that have one on display.

They just decreased the production line shift by 1 hour. They’re still churning out CTs.
Still working the extra hour putting on new pedal covers. ;-)

The non performance Model 3 and Y don't have pedal covers at all. My neighbor talked me into putting some aftermarket pedal covers on his M3. Incredible PITA. Installing the brake cover was not SO bad but the accelerator pedal cover was ridiculous. That said, if you're into isometric finger exercise...

I would be willing to bet that almost none of those CTs parked at GigaTexas have any accelerator cover installed. Once the redesigned part is on hand, it'll take literally seconds to Open the door, snap one in place, and then finish up the delivery prep.

You mean they're not stopping production entirely because of the pedal grip? ???

This is actually interesting, because if they really are halting shipments, we can maybe guage how many they're actually creating per day now.
Great point! that would be a good number to use too because they are slowing it some, so the count would be conservative.

Near Cleveland. They had one on display at Lyndhurst a few weeks ago. They said it was from auto show. Not sure if it is still there. I did pass by the SC last week and saw one sitting outside, looked like it was about to be delivered. Same spot we picked up the "Y". I assume it will be a while for me. Schedule delivery is still greyed out.

I hope it resumes soon. Now I want to slow down as I pass the SC after work and see if there are any CTs in there. ?

My quote came in at $4,300 with 100" from gateway to garage. But I have 2 1/2" conduit from electrical panel to garage they can use. plenty of space for the additional wire.
