Back with a semi-update.
Yes to clarify, I charged the frunk and it opened; appears a clip broke off. Perhaps the plastic is a bit brittle in negative 1 degrees temps...?
I got the driver-side door open. Took a while and the screen turned on. Tons of electrical errors came up (infinite errors scroll)
I had a tow guy come but he could not take the truck away. The electrical issues are preventing the truck from entering into "TOW MODE".
We tried everything in terms of charging, etc to get the TOW MODE button to activate but no go. Also, the truck is sitting on snow and ice isn't helping his confidence. The tow truck left, and he seems to be thinking about how to solve it / if he can do it.
I'm pretty patient at this point. I am 24 hours in. Last night's tow truck never came. This morning's truck didn't show either. Missed a ski day with my kids, sadly. But it is what it is and honestly not surprised to experience this once or twice.
But I am getting the feeling the Cybertruck isn't mean for the cold and snow.
To cap things off, the door won't power the window totally closed so its sitting down an inch or two! Fortunately, no snow in forecast until Tuesday :-|
Merry Christmas!
Some 48V MV info in the service mode panels:Is there a way to read the 48 low voltage battery voltage on screen?
Did the tow truck driver have a way to apply 48 volts to the battery or charge it?
if this was a ICE vehicle, first thing would be open hood, check battery voltage and jump or apply correct voltage to it.
I see no reason why not to treat this the same, but that’s coming from a retired mechanic.
