FSD right now sucks and is unusable. It makes no difference if they delay it on the CT for another 6 months.
I recently drove a MY with 12.something and it didn't suck for the three days I had the car while the CT was in service. I only tested it on back roads but I think highway driving would be really nice and would be a welcome addition to my CT.

Get in line. Those of us who purchased FSD in 2018 or before and didn't get beta until 2021 or later know that Elon's deadlines are meaningless

I can totally see OP's perspective. It's really important that we all give it consideration. Here you have someone who's never had an EV and doesn't religiously follow Tesla and EV related news.

This experience can really sour someone's first EV purchase. The constant string of broken promises from Elon and team do not do the switch to EVs any favors.

When they stopped installing radars and went to vision only, a lot of new buyers had no FSD for close to a year. New Cybertruck owners are going through the same thing.

Tesla has to do better, this is a failure of customer service and setting the right expectations. Hell even the name FSD was incredibly misleading until they recently added "supervised".

Anecdotal tally here. I convinced three people to purchase a Model Y. My sister, a friend, and my wife. All three of them do not trust and do not use FSD. It was enabled when they first purchased the vehicles but did not subscribe after that.

Interventions are scary. I personally do not mind them but I totally understand why those close to me refuse to use FSD. I get around two interventions per drive or about one every 15 minutes. Even at that rate I intend to use FSD on every drive once it's enabled for the Cybertruck. It's like a mini game while driving, "how is AI going to try and murder me today?" :ROFLMAO:

For me, honestly I do not care when it come. I’ll want to enjoy driving the truck, feel it, try new features etc. FSD when right makes driving boring…

Routinely go to lunch in biz partner's MX w/ FSD.

Since 12.xxx updates, while not perfect, the experience is approaching witchcraft.

No other manufacturer to my knowledge is anywhere close to what Tesla's tech can do.

I suspect a few more iterations and this will be a transformative technology for society.

People are complaining about not having FSD. But once we get it, people will complain it’s not good enough, phantom braking is too scary, and they want basic lane keep assist back.

FSD 12 is really really good. But I am fine waiting a bit for it to come to the truck. Every day I can choose if I drive my model X with FSD 12, or my Cybertruck, I’ll let you guess what wins almost every day!

I'd be happy with just autopilot.
I like driving, but love to relax and enjoy the world around me without having to keep the car between the lines.
Just got our CT a week ago.
As was said, given the choice between the X with autopilot and the CT...you know the answer.

Only your opinion, not fact! I’ve had my ‘18 MX 100D for 5+ years waiting on FSD and now that we have FSD v12.3.6, I can say that it was worth the wait! It is so impressive and both my wife and I use it every time we drive, no matter the distance! It was disappointing to learn on my delivery day that my CT did not have FSD, Summons, AutoPark, ultrasonic sensors, wheel covers or HomeLink, but again, the frustration will be worth it once they release it.?

I have been hearing from prior comments that I have FUD, and I just got to thinking, I most certainly do. I did not realize that CT did not have FSD until the day I purchased it over sticker price. But still went through with the purchase because of the comment Mr. Musk made about it releasing in late June. I made a guess in a prior fourm that it would probably come out in 26 or 27, due to lack of data, but honestly I have no clue, as I have never even owned a Tesla before , let alone an electric vehicle. I just base my opinions off of google searches and past data. I am just kind of surprised that it does not seem like more people are pushing for the promised highlighted feature that we call FSD. I know if I promise one of my customers something and don't deliver, I would have to make it right. Does the same morals not apply with multi billion dollar companies? I mean that's the least that they can do is keep the promise of FSD especially since it is such an expensive vehicle, that has 3 + recalls already. What are your thoughts?
Without the troll comments.

It is crazy how Tesla can get away with the lack of transparency in delivery estimates, poor communication, and bully tactics during the order / purchasing process. I was basically forced to take delivery due to Tesla wanting to inflate delivery numbers for q2. Was told that if I did t take delivery on a day when I would be out of town, that they would have to give a way my VIN. I changed my flight plans just to take delivery and not risk further delays.

This is just another example of hubris with Tesla. It’s working for now but may not always. I love my CT but the communication sucks.
