Happend to me months ago. I think I did a thread on it. Truck had a GPS fix left hours ago in different state. I disconnected the battery for a couple hours. Connected. Woke up. Truck knew it where it was. I am a Photon when I want to be.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Hey guys....Had this exact same problem happen to me while driving yesterday. Tried soft reboot, tried shutdown, let it sit overnight nothing worked. Schld. a service appt but it was two weeks out. I called Tesla support and had a great experience. The rep told me she has seen this exact issue happen a lot over the past couple weeks since the latest OTA was pushed.

Rep had me do the following and all is now working.
1. go to settings, toggle Sentry mode (if on turn it off, if off turn it on, mine was on)
2. Exit the vehicle, walk away until it locks, and stay away from the truck for 1 full minute.
3. Re-enter the truck and start driving. I made it about 500 feet and the navigation screen spun around and was perfect again. tried a couple of navigation destinations and all is back to normal.

Hope this helps some of you.

I've been everywhere, in the ocean, on a golf course and airport runway.

I turned off Sentry, walked away for 30 mins, came back and I was where I was.

Thank you for sharing, it worked!

Have you heard they are going to start adding active speed limiters in cars? Using the GPS to determine the road you’re on and therefore the limit.

These sorts of issues should make things real interesting . But hey, if only one life is saved then it’s worth it, right?

Last night it was still not working correctly, the only thing I did different was tell the truck to charge to 100% overnight cuz I have a lot of driving to do today, and it was fixed this morning when I left for work. Weird.

ITS working again
I left my truck at the airport for three days (and did turn sentry mode off). I got back on the car and the GPS was still wrong. But after driving for a minute it snapped into correct position!

Drove around in circles, didn't work. Drove in figure 8's, nope. Showed me about 10 miles to the NE.
Turned off Sentry Mode, charged to 100%.
YEAH MAN! I got my GPS back!!

Did you first simply do these things and it didn't work? Not sure why the other things would have anything to do with it.

Rep had me do the following and all is now working.
1. go to settings, toggle Sentry mode (if on turn it off, if off turn it on, mine was on)

What a crazy and weird fix, glad it worked for you and others. Hoping all these small bugs are fixed by the time my FS is delivered.

I get this when I open my garage. It’s like wifi and cellular having a dispute.
