I point and laugh hysterically while mimicking a crying baby, or I might just smile and wink, depending on how egregious their stupidity seems to be. They always seem to be driving a smaller, late-model vehicle, like something they inherited from a parent and didn’t have to pay for themselves. I’m not joking about that last part, either. This is like someone cloned a bunch of useful idiots and provided them all with used, high-mileage ICE vehicles.

IT IS WEIRD HOW MUCH VITRIOL THEY HAVE FOR AN INANIMATE OBJECT THAT HAS ZERO BEARING ON THEIR INDIVIDUAL LIVES OR CIRCUMSTANCES. It’s like they have been told their entire lives that their opinion MATTERS and that everyone deserves a soccer trophy because they PARTICIPATED.

They are an extremely strange group of people.

If you feel threatened, look up the closest police station and drive to it.
you say he followed you into another state, coincidence? if not, yes drive to a police station, if he still says, flag an officer down
you have rights, if you feel uncomfortable, report the a hole

Take a quick snack break and never see him again. He obviously got enough of a rise out of you for you to take pictures. You're not going to teach him a lesson in any way that doesn't make the situation even less safe for your family. I just distance myself from aggressive drivers, if he actively tries to pursue you when removing yourself from the situation, then police.
I was gonna say do a pit maneuver, but this is probably a better idea.

EV’s are way faster than most of the vehicles driven by th agitators. Personally, I like to gun it, and put enough space between the person and I, that it would take more effort than it’s worth to keep up. Most people don’t have the focus or capability to try and keep up for an extended period of time. I actually got away from a roadrager this way once. All this assumes safe runway for high speeds (little to no traffic).

If that doesn’t work, same trick and exit at a point where they can’t see that you exited the freeway.

Try to remember that some people are this way just because they are POS, has nothing to do with you personally. Best thing is to shake them off or avoid these mentally ill people.

Activate beast mode, blow his rusty doors off then turn on the hazards to let him know you won. That rav 4 couldn't keep up with the CT if it was running on nitromethane.

Convince your 6 year old to give them the old moon cheek press or windy hang…

Or…

Get in front and deploy Mario cart Mode and drop a banana peel…

or… drive away safely like you did.

…I can dream I guess.

I would have called 911 with the car's speakerphone -- telling the dispatcher that these people have been tailing my vehicle from NH to MA. I have a child in my vehicle, and these people drove recklessly and posted danger to my family. They 'might' be driving under influence and 'possibly' be armed as well. I would stay with the dispatch on the speakerphone, and ask them to send help.

Save the Dashcam video and call the cops with a well prepared statement. They will absolutely arrest him with sufficient evidence and a victim willing to testify. He will get a criminal record and be disincentivized to do this to somebody else. Others will also become disincentivized.

12,000 miles in, and I'm at 13 middle-fingers (that I've seen). Even with all the states I've driven through, 11 of them have been in the town where I work. I now have this kit in case there's escalation...

Tesla Cybertruck How would you have handled this? hornblasters

As a baseline I'd strongly recommend dark tint, as it blocks a good portion of the "engagement factor". A lot these people really want to see your reaction and make you uncomfortable. When they can't see who's in the vehicle, it kills a lot of their joy.

Went this route as well, 5% front / 15% rear. Rather not engage, just let them drive by.

Save those videos!! I had this A$$hat speed up to box me in while my lane was merging in a construction zone and I was forced to merge and hit him. He actually mentioned Elon and Musks names while I was taking pics of the scene.
