A much more important question is how many dogs will the Cybertruck be able to carry?

If the final design does not have 6 seats, I am out. Total deal breaker as I have 4 kids. This is one of the things that made Cybertruck stand apart from Rivian or F150 Lightning.
same here. 2 kids 2 parents 2 grandparents..hate having to take 2 cars

The only source for the 5 seat is someone who guards the truck said so to someone on Twitter. I heard this reported by @greggertruck maybe he knows who actually posted that info on Twitter. Do we know if they were actually there at giga Texas?
the guy reporting this, from his conversation with the employee socializing the truck with investors, has had all this info in a video on his Instagram since investor day

he reports in his video:

he reports:

• plastic bumpers (to be 5mph compliant)

• bed is 6’ X 4’ (after the wheel arches “because Tesla needs the additional space for the 4WS)

• “this model is pretty close to what will ship”

• 5 seater instead of 6

• they needed to make it 5% smaller so that’s why they can’t fit 6 seats

• no display above the wheel

• no pass through

• will have a frunk

• multiple tire options (this one on 285 R18”s)

that IG post has been posted by me in @greggertruck’s original thread since investor day, but people still confuse what is known from whom

Tomorrow he’s releasing his YouTube video about it - hopefully/presumably he’ll give additional color on the content of the conversation

We've had this list repeatedly. It's BS.

We don't know who said it. We don't know if they're authoritative. We don't know how much they rounded down. We know that at least one of the excuses is not plausible. We don't know what '5%' means, since there's volume, area, width, etc, and 5% to one of those isn't 5% of the others.

We do know 'random Tesla employee' is usually wrong about their vehicles.

I’m not vouching for any of it, but as I understand it this guy first chatted with the employee socializing the vehicle and got the above info, reported it on IG via the video on IG

he later went about using his phone to measure things

his YouTube supposed to be out today should give color to both

if not *insert clown car music*

Hell I ordered a SIX seater. what is this 5 seat crap
Folks, Had this crazy idea to start a petition to convince Tesla and Elon to give our 6-seater config back. A lot of people I know are talking about this, as its a deal breaker for families with kids https://chng.it/HQydL4TG

Please support this petition, to bring it to Elon's attention.

They never said it would have a midgate. They DID say it would seat 6.
And the website still says it seats 6. Perhaps, they want to try to wait in hopes the bad news is buried within the excitement of the launch.

I am happy to find this forum when looking for more info on the 6 seat status. We have four young kids, so I need a 6 seater. We also have 4 dogs, so a conditioned and covered bed should allow us to bring them. With all that, and 500 mile range, I was hopeful this could be a good option for our family trips, including space for luggage. .
