I believe it, but don't believe it. Families are usually on a budget and given a choice between waiting 6-8 months or $15k they would wait. .......Unless their previous vehicle died in which case they think they have to buy something now. My 07' Sienna is my bridge vehicle to the CT. Running strong with 275k. Crossing my fingers. 2.5 more years?????Apparently the chip shortage is alive and well.
Sienna production is halted due to chip shortage til January. Dealer not taking deposits til December and deliveries of april for those who get in line in December. My used '22 Sienna is retailing ~15k above msrp. Dealer offered me the out-the-door price i paid +$7300.
Id do it but 8 months is too long of a wait for a new van. Hope tesla has ducks in order on the chip front
