When I said “wrap” I was thinking of a temporary transportation protective wrap, not a $6k finished product wrap. Easy to confuse.

Truly, if this is beyond the skill level of Tesla delivery people you would think they could find someone with restaurant kitchen cleanup experience. ?
I think road “brake dust” is another form of these rust origins… has any of the retailers out there talked about how they get rid of this problem BEFORE they wrap them. Then next thing would be… will there be rust issues where we can’t see them like behind tge wheel flares or any other place we can’t see… not to mention… what happens when we pull off our wraps in 5 yrs…. Am I just being paranoid? I plan to wrap w PPF semi transparent at this point. Any thoughts out there? (As I wait for my VIN in next couple weeks)Rail dust or industrial fallout related rust stains were clear and present upon delivery. Not if you clean it off. It’s not rust, so CT won’t start rusting if these spots are not cleaned immediately, but probably some black residue might stay if you don’t clean it up, I guess!

i'm thinking the panel edges and the backside of the panels, just off the edges, aren't they corroding with corrosion creeping around the edges? hopefully this just isn't a thing...
A reputable auto-detailing shop will remove all contaminants from the surface before they wrap it. Many shops require a paint correction service before wrapping or ceramic coating.
Not sure it’s about nothing… if something can happen under the wrap… that would be bad… I get there is much less exposure to oxygen which is needed, but it’s not a no brainer yet… I prepped my Tesla for ceramic coat a Adam polish iron remover and was amazed how much iron it had from just 1 week of driving… so just trying to gain real experience and avoid guessing

You think that Tesla has delivery prep? Well it does appear that some of the Cybertrucks have been prepped, but AFAIK, nothing else it.
Tesla doesn't have any "minimum wage porters". Tesla should train delivery centers to prep the cars to acceptable standards. IMO, that would include removing any industrial contamination before delivery unless the customer specifically requests it not be prepped. One thing I'm very glad about is that none of my Tesla have been delivered with that awful glossy, wet look, tire sidewall goop! I dislike that stuff with a passion!
