The reason they haven't given range, power, towing capacity is because they haven't sourced any batteries yet, or probably even motors. Looks pretty though. ;)

Might as well wait a few weeks until Tesla puts out their actual numbers before throwing out some aspirationals!:p:p

There are other manufacturers of vehicles that have people that know how to market things. It's not something Tesla has a monopoly on, so no need to get your knickers in a knot about a new electric pickup truckbor the lack of specs. At least they are creating more EV demand, hopefully they can also supply to it.

Overall I like the design, especially the interior and seats on rails. Makes the CT interior seem plain and more "work truck". But the third row fold up booster seats aren't that great.

What I thought was funny is they only managed seating for 6 in this truck concept in spite of those crazy rad seats. You have the choice, 4 people with lots of legroom or 6 people but no legroom and rear seats are horrible.

Unfortunately, with the Model Y seats mounted directly to the structural battery pack, unless Tesla had the idea of a rail already, we probably won't see it in the CT gen 1. But it does seem like a good idea.

I liked the folding steering wheel idea, and the notch in the bottom of the steering wheel. Hell, there were lots of features that I liked.

This Dec 15, 2022 post on the RAM forum shows a lot of pictures of a mule and them testing several competitors. Competition is great for all of us ... ie. make them earn their customers.

What is frustrating about this is by intermixing a bunch of things which are clearly pure fantasy and things which are likely to make it into the final truck, you are left with no idea of what the final truck is to be like. There is a solid chance some of that stuff is at least optional, but a lot of it is just completely impractical or in some cases just a pile of buzzwords.

“It has a 3d printed rear view mirror”… he says as if that makes it the most amazing rear view mirror on the planet. That‘s not even a feature, it’s a means of production and one which clearly won’t survive into the final vehicle.

I can watch Gotham garage if I want to see cool and interesting 1 off vehicles. I just wanted an idea of where they were with price and actual shipping features and they gave us nothing.

My guess is part of why they did what they did is to get public response. Now that it's out there, how often are customers asking "When can I get a truck with a movie projector built in?!?!?" Or.. "I really liked the truck except for it having the ability to follow me around. That scares the $h!+ out of me."

Side note: Yes, I did eventually watch the video even though I said I wasn't going to. I think reading all of your posts ahead of time lowered my expectations enough that I wasn't disappointed. But wasn't excited by it either.

Here would be the way 3d printing would make for a cool feature. If you could send in your design and they 3d print out your specific design onto the car. So you could customize your mirror so it looks like a skeletal hand wrapped around a ram’s skull.

I can totally see some small town law enforcement dudes that is bored out of his scull, drop his key fob in some drug dealer's pocket that is already freaked out about big government watching him. Let his marked police truck follow him while recording his every move for youtube. All along he is sitting in Dunkin donuts watching the whole thing live on his cell phone while getting paid.

I saw the TFL guys do an extensive walk thru on youtube. It's obviously a concept and things are likely to change, but they have placed a bunch of cool ideas into this truck.

The versatility of the tailgate and bed is something to keep an eye on. They didn't state it as much, but it looks like Ram is tinkering with the idea of tailgate being able to have wings that go up like extended side rails in addition to a catch ledge at the end. Add to that all the other ways the tailgate may operate in addition to just drop down, and that is outside the box thinking I like. extended bed side rails would be awesome for those times I need to take multiple guys to the ranch...we have all their gear plus have some animal feed in the bed and multiple coolers. Not the heaviest of loads (except the feed), but very space consuming. With my 3/4 ton truck, we often are having to not bring certain things because of a lack of space. The ability to basically extend the bed by 2 feet plus having the frunk take some of that gear solves a lot of problems for guys like me. I also like the extremely versatile seating ideas. Don't like jump seats...think they are a waste of time, but do like the idea of fully configurable seating. If you can have regular 3 seats across in that second row, but remove or rearrange as you see fit, that's really nice.
