Wow I just checked and it showed up (Charge on Solar) for the Cybertruck. It was not there earlier today for sure. This is exciting! Our 2020 Model X does not have access to this feature yet :)

For reference:

Cybertruck updated to 2024.14.11 on 2024.05.31
App version: 4.33.5
Powerwall Gateway version: 23.28.2
Wall Connector (Gen 3) version: 24.12.51

Wait that’s cool! What type of wall connector—gen 3 or earlier or universal wall connector?

how do I check the wall connector software version?

do you see it in the Tesla phone app or in the CT UI?

Yes in the Tesla app. Go to the solar section of the app. Settings -> My Home Info

Updated my post for requested info

Oh ok understood! Bizarrely, my wall connector doesn't show up in My Home Info, on my my powerwall.

I have charge on solar too, but I don't have Powershare. My other Teslas have had charge on solar for a while.

For whatever reason, my Android version of the Tesla app does not show the Version number on my Gateway. I have all of the same versions on everything else listed by Almosthuman except when I called Tesla support, they told me my Gateway version is actually 23.44.906. The support rep actually said she is expecting an update very soon and even thought it was within a week or two. The app does show a green icon showing power both ways when I plug in my Cybertruck, but it does nothing and there are no additional features to use the gateway. I hope the version number shows with the next update.

Cybertruck updated to 2024.14.11
App version: 4.33.5
Powerwall Gateway version: 23.44.906
Universal Wall Connector (Gen 3) version: 24.12.51

I had to add my Wall Connectors with My Products -> Add Product.

Does your app still show your Wall connector as a product or is it consolidated into the "Gateway" product. Originally, I had it as a separate product and I think I did an update and now it is combined. I only see by Cybertruck and my Gateway as a product, but on the Gateway screen I see my wall connector and I can look at charging events. I cannot click on the Wall connector on the display like I can the Home icon and Grid icon on that same Gateway screen.

They only show up under Settings -> Vehicle Charging -> Wall Connector Schedule or Access Control

I just got a proposal to install the Power Share Gateway V2 and a Universal Wall Charger for $6,100. If I add one Power Wall 3 the cost goes up $13,450. I wanted the Power Wall to make the grid shutdown seamless. I also have solar panels they will tie into the Power Wall 3. I want to get, and I will get, a second quote for the install. Only one electric company has called me back.

This the only thing my app shows. I can't click on the universal connector like I do the grid, there is no firmware on the gateway and no car information on the charts.

indeed I had NOT done the commissioning process for adding the gen 3 wall connector to my app. I swear it wasn't an in-app option when I installed it. still no PowerShare when I plug in my CT, but I do get the imagery of the house with the garage and the car in the garage when charging.

Gateway 23.44.0
Wall connector 24.12.51

I have the updated home graphic, but no truck in the garage. Truck is 2024.14.11. Home says Idle. No version number on gateway. If I try to add it, I get an error that it’s already registered. Thing is, my truck charges fine and shows the two-way icon, but no option to enable power share. Anyone else in this boat?

That sounds very much the same as mine except when my truck is plugged in it will show it in the garage on the gateway screen and shows the 11.5 kwh. I can click on the Grid and see a usage graph and I can click on the Home and see a usage graph. Nothing happens when I click on Wall connector. You can go to Energy and see the same charts by clicking on the bottom icons; Home, Vehicle, Grid. Again Vehicle will show a graph outline, but no data. While on the Vehicle chart, if click o. The "menu" or three dots in the top right it will show the charging events.

You may need to manually switch off grid power since Powershare is only vehicle to house/ load, not vehicle to grid.
