That may be true. Are you saying that Tesla did that on purpose to help us pay for the truck or that it is just serendipitous?$TSLA stock price the week of CyberTruck reveal was around $22 (splits adjusted) Had you placed a $2500 deposit instead of buying stock, you'd be out about $25,000 today.
I did buy Tesla stock shortly after that (and slowly over a couple of years) but all in all I am only up about 30% over the last 3 years, not 10X. Had I sold before the second split Iād have been at 80% but still not 1000%. You clearly did much better - congratulations!
If Tesla had required a $2,500 fee Iād have paid it.
