Side mirror shaking

I just got my truck back from service (errr... actually back from the airport because Tesla was nice enough to drop it there so I could have it when I returned from vacation) and the violent door shaking issue has was commented on the service invoice as: "This is currently under investigation and there is no correction for this concern at this time".

Any luck getting Tesla to correct the significant vibration in the Driver mirror, I haven't reported mine yet.

Recently had both drove units replaced due to a vibration from 40-50mph. First thing I noticed when driving it for the first time was my side mirror no longer vibrated. Apparently I couldn’t always feel the motor vibration but it translated to the mirror at all speeds.

Same issue. The service center told me it’s a design flaw that the model 3 had early on as well. And they are waiting for a redesign before fixing it.

I have the same problem on my driver's side mirror while the passenger side mirror is stable. It's one of many items on the current list of service items.

Mine too! Service center told me in November it’s a known problem without a fix.

They put a new mirror on and same issue so they are calling known behavior at this point.

They did same shit to me when I took it in for this issue. Kinda a problem when driving a night and the lights shake

Same issue with mine. Driver’s mirror shakes but not the passenger’s. Must be sciencey stuff with the windshield wiper.

Homework for all: know how at speeds over about 30 mph the windshield wiper stays in the down position? Check if the mirror still vibrates then. I’ll participate too, but I live in TX and it just sprinkled so I might not see rain again for a few months.

Mine had been doing this for a number of months and I had complained a few times, but they said there is no fix. A few weeks ago it started squeaking and rattling anytime you touched it or opened and closed the door. I brought it in and they observed the noise and after securing it again and lubricating something it didn’t fix it, so they replaced the mirror. The replacement mirror has no vibration issue.

I just took delivery a couple days ago and have the same issue, I have an appointment in a month to get it looked at. As someone above mentioned, it might have to do with the wiper position and it creates a high/low pressure area around the mirror?

Let me know how your appointment goes. I've got an appointment early February and added this issue to my service request. I had it in for service in July and there was no fix at the time.
