Last activation was at 2pm so this left me thinking more might be out there. I ran all inactive dual/tri VINs under 1500 and a thorough cleansing of #5000 and below was performed over the weekend. No new VINs were found.

Today started off weird. There were no new VINs until about 11:45am, then I got 25 of them. Below is a list of all scans on #1159 that were done today. Maybe the VIN activation guy/girl was late to work today or they are batching more VINs at a time ?‍♂. We will see what plays out tomorrow.

+1

Someone needs to load their NHTSA VIN search routine into an automatic thread that updates everyday for all to view.
Sound good. Get to work and let me know what you need.

My goal is to tie these activations to a production projection we did a couple of months ago. Maybe the Q4 call will provide some updated hints about the ramp.

Great work @newwave1331 !

AWD to CB VIN ratio 160:40 or 4:1
Not too far off from the 3:1 order placement spreadsheet.

I think you might be misreading something. The chart table is getting really small but we needed a secondary axis for CB to make it not look like a flatline.

We are currently around 95% AWD (AWD 741, CB 41).

I wish Tesla would just communicate with us wtf is happening vs keeping us in the dark like this.
Aside from not really needing to keep you informed (other manufacturers do a whole lot less), I suspect that the real reason is Wall Street.

Putting out detailed numbers only gets you in trouble. If you are running at 50 cars/day and then decide to stop the line for a few days to redo some of it, that would tank the stock and cause social media panic!

This is not their first rodeo, it's not mine either. Just sit back and chill is the only answer.

With my Model 3, it was ordered and configured for many months, and then on the Friday before Memorial Day during lunch, I got the call and picked it up the next day.

Stop watching the pot of water!

Aside from not really needing to keep you informed (other manufacturers do a whole lot less)
what's your experience with all these other manufacturers info they provide for highly sought after new products?

just how many highly sought afer new cars do you own!?

because with Ford, here's what *they* provide/data available to customers who care to watch the pot boil:

after placing your order you first get:

• build/week day (a day in future Ford plans to begin assembly), then:

• In Production notice (typically ~1 week prior to your scheduled build day, window sticker usually available somewhere around now)

• then later you get your blend date - the date they actually begin assembly

• Sub-statuses
  • Sent to Plant - Ford has sent your order to the plant to prepare for your build.
  • Produced - Order has been built
  • Sent Offsite - Order needs to go offsite for installation of components not installed at the plant: bed liner, wheel well liners, tonneau
  • Released to Body Company - Getting one of the above things installed
  • Origin Received - Truck is being stored in a location while it waits on the next step.
• Built / Produced - Your order is built and complete. Internally the status will show the order has been released and is awaiting shipment.

• Shipped - Your truck is on its way to the dealer (can find if rail or convoy, if it’s stuck at a rail yard, eg)

• Delivered (to dealer) - The dealer has taken delivery of the truck and will soon be ready for you to pick up.

Meanwhile, with my Lightning, before all the above began I got a dozen calls from my local sales rep, beginning months in advance, telling me where roughly my number was in line, what wave of order invites i was expected to be within, rough timing of that wave order, etc.

you may have spent a bunch of time at other forums expounding your expertise about model 3s, ys, and other sedans - but you're here in this forum confused about your 'expertise' on if not just the CT, trucks in general, and other OEMs.

not everything you've read on $TSLA xwitter is worth regurgitating
