3. Most "keys" are made of much softer metal than the CT's stainless steel so if anything, a typical house/car key will be the one losing metal. Paint, even with color coat, is soft when compared to stainless steel. It's easy to scratch the color coat, much harder to get down to the paint. Knives would be better for scratching to the paint level. Either way, I bet scratches in the CT SS could be buffed out with no problem and I expect to get a few caused by loading and unloading different things. It gives it character.Yes, it is possible ( ok, so scratch resistant) but
1. cold-rolled 30x stainless is harder to scratch than the low quality stainless steel used in kitchen sinks or tables.
2. cold-rolled 30x stainless steel is much more scratch resistant than automotive exterior paint.
