I actually think those are bed floor pieces, removed for the D-Ring accessories that are installed.

Nope! They're $45 a pair!

There are standard attachment points in their standard spots. But the D-Rings are extra. They do come w Foundation Series trucks however.

i wonder if the no mirrors will make the truck look weird like its missing something. that and also giving up the organic way we glance at our side mirrors for traffic.

if it doesnt make a substantial difference in range, im not sure i would take them off.

The side mirrors are in fact only cover plates covering up the hard point mounting plate and thru the door cable harness for the side mount MiniGuns.

On a serious note, Texas law does not require side mirrors. I will likely be removing them and buying or 3d printing some cover plates.

yeah, those do appear to be the roof rack and/or bed floor plugs

I’m *pretty confident* the plug solution for the door/window removal have not been seen by folks close to the trucks

This is how side mirrors are removed from 90% of cars on the road. Pop off plastic cover, disconnect wiring, remove 3 bolts…so no big deal.

As for legality, it depends on the state whether it is a primary offense or not. If not primary, police cannot pull you over for it, but can write a citation if they have another reason to pull you over, like speeding…or you caused an accident because you don’t have mirrors ?

Very simple removal. The triangle mirrors have grown on me some so I don't dislike them as much as I used to. But if I find the triangle mirrors are wanting in rear visibility and if the larger traditional mirrors are available, I still might consider replacing them.

To each their own. For me now it will be about rear visibility if I need it.

It is about 1000 times EASIER than replacing a head light bulb in a 2007 Toyota Yaris (don't ask how I know this).

Texas requires at least 1 mirror that provides the driver a view of the highway for at least 200 feet to the rear. If you use the inside mirror the door mirrors can legally be removed.

But I do not know how the law interprets a rear view camera vs a mirror.

I will probably remove my outside mirrors. Especially if the view isn't great

Why are you still suggesting they're going to violate criminal law in the state they made the offer?

Why would they not honor it? When I preordered it said the price would be locked in. Since I’ve never bought FSD before I wonder: have they said they would honor a price with a preorder and then didn’t?
