Took delivery today at Tesla Sales Sunnyvale CA.
Appointment was at 1pm. Arrived early, being told there is no customer parking space, have to park on street or in the MEGAMART parking lot next to it. Luckily I brought a collapsible wagon cart to drag 2 car seat/booster there.
Saw 10+ CTs there with 2100+, 2800+ and 2900+ VINs. Told they were behind schedule on this big CT delivery day, because preparing CTs took a lot of efforts, and they were calling customers who has late appointments to ask them do not come today.
A lot of customers and only a few employee in the show room and waiting room. I was told they were detailing the CTs before giving them to customers. I requested twice to skip the detailing and just give it to me because we were late for ours next stop. Both request failed. (And the detailing was not even a good one.)
We got it after waiting for 2+ hrs. "Are you excited?" "Well, not after waiting for 2 hours." I skipped the inspection to rush to next stop. I was told I have 7 days/100 miles to return it if something is wrong with it.
----------
When driving, it feels so light, nimble and powerful, like a big plastic toy car.
Mine has several misaligned panel gaps, misaligned tail lights, also scratches above drive side front wheel (right above FO in FOUNDATION), which IMO is typical Tesla style and kinda acceptable.
The roof glass is kinda soft. I think I made a visible dent when stepped on it. See the reflections on it in the 2nd last picture. The left one is on the smooth part, the other two are distorted at the dented area.
And I just learnt you should update Tesla cars at home or somewhere with a WiFi connecting. (I updated my old MX in the wild several times during the last 6 years without any problem though.) A "30-minunite" software update 2024.2.8 trapped me in a mall parking lot for more than 2 hours.
Then I rushed to the V4 SCs at Los Gatos CA to charge it. The battery was only 20+% when I got it. Charging curve here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/my-charging-curve-at-v4-sc-nothing-new.13492/
It came with a mobile charger despite saying "Charging equipment is not included" in the delivery confirmation email.
