Took delivery today at Tesla Sales Sunnyvale CA.

Appointment was at 1pm. Arrived early, being told there is no customer parking space, have to park on street or in the MEGAMART parking lot next to it. Luckily I brought a collapsible wagon cart to drag 2 car seat/booster there.

Saw 10+ CTs there with 2100+, 2800+ and 2900+ VINs. Told they were behind schedule on this big CT delivery day, because preparing CTs took a lot of efforts, and they were calling customers who has late appointments to ask them do not come today.

A lot of customers and only a few employee in the show room and waiting room. I was told they were detailing the CTs before giving them to customers. I requested twice to skip the detailing and just give it to me because we were late for ours next stop. Both request failed. (And the detailing was not even a good one.)

We got it after waiting for 2+ hrs. "Are you excited?" "Well, not after waiting for 2 hours." I skipped the inspection to rush to next stop. I was told I have 7 days/100 miles to return it if something is wrong with it.

----------

When driving, it feels so light, nimble and powerful, like a big plastic toy car.

Mine has several misaligned panel gaps, misaligned tail lights, also scratches above drive side front wheel (right above FO in FOUNDATION), which IMO is typical Tesla style and kinda acceptable.

The roof glass is kinda soft. I think I made a visible dent when stepped on it. See the reflections on it in the 2nd last picture. The left one is on the smooth part, the other two are distorted at the dented area.

And I just learnt you should update Tesla cars at home or somewhere with a WiFi connecting. (I updated my old MX in the wild several times during the last 6 years without any problem though.) A "30-minunite" software update 2024.2.8 trapped me in a mall parking lot for more than 2 hours.

Then I rushed to the V4 SCs at Los Gatos CA to charge it. The battery was only 20+% when I got it. Charging curve here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/my-charging-curve-at-v4-sc-nothing-new.13492/

It came with a mobile charger despite saying "Charging equipment is not included" in the delivery confirmation email.

Bummer. Sorry to hear. No smoke or confetti, no sign and CT lightshow, but at least they threw in some panel gaps.

Glad your enjoying the drive though.

Looks like you received made on a Monday truck. I would definitely take the truck back to service and get those issues remedied. Congrats!! Enjoy!

Well done feedback and pictures on delivery. That alignment needs some adjustment but not worth skipping delivery.

I agree. Have we seen any examples of Tesla's work on aligning panels?

Tailgate looks fine both those other pieces are bad.
Agree... that's way too bad, please take it back and make them fixed. Who the f.
...is doing the inspection on these vehicles and stamped the good to go with such off miss alignments and panel gaps?!?!? Looks like diferent individuals with a great disparity of quality standards considering previous CT deliveries with none of this issues, at least not this obvious.

Yea I can't see an issue with the tailgate, sometimes pics are difficult as they can make things look worse or better based on the angle.

Very sorry for the problems and hope they treat you right.

There have been multiples with this problem and the last one I saw it looked like the dimensions (length) were different for the ~45 degree section.

I personally wouldn't mind the two hour pickup time if they let look at it and make notes during those two hours, wouldn't even mind not taking pictures or using my phone but just getting a chance to look it over while it was being cleaned. Did you opt for them to skip the cleaning, some sections look pretty dirty on yours.
Hope you are enjoying it now that you got it, please keep us updated on experience, range, and charging.

Friday afternoon build?

As much as it would have pained me I would have rejected the vehicle and waited for a replacement. The workmanship is simply unacceptable on a $100k vehicle.

Put in a service ticket ASAP and let us know if your service center resolves your fit and finish issues.

Wow, this is what you get for 100k+?

Clearly production is starting to pick up, it’s time to reject these and have them figure it out…… smh

Any pics of the scratches you mentioned on one of the panels? Did they look like sanding scratches/swirls?
