Took delivery today, AWD.. made it 1 mile down road, started getting steering error, flashing red screen, pulled off side of highway now the truck is dead and I’m waiting for a tow truck. Dealer couldn’t do anything for me. It was great for 5 minutes.. tried everything, restarting, screen is stuck black and keeps beeping

tesla really rushed these trucks out, what a nightmare.

I haven’t messed with most of the features yet as during my delivery I asked the delivery assigned technician about replacement/repair items and he said that there is a backlog for many parts with no ETAs. “Knowing is helpful.”
In the interim while they work to stock up on inventory, they pull from the assembly line as needed but there is still a shipping delay given the parts have to come from TX. Could be five days to PNW depending on the size of the part.

That is about right...Mine went down Last Tuesday...App and technician say it should be done by the 5th,
I hope it does. My Wrapping is scheduled for the 8th, and if I miss it, the guy is backed up until June now.

I would call Tesla and get cover by the warrenty services.

What gives you the right to tell him how he feels?
Anyone can feel however they do. But if that influences factuality of descriptions, it's not oppressive to point that out.

Feelings are an unreliable guide at best, although a bit of consideration for the relatively likely or reasonable feelings of others is appropriate.

Sucks. I guess being two years out might have its advantage… ie not dealing with all these builds that are struggling

The OP said dealership couldn’t do anything for him, what a mess.

Amazing advice, I'm sure someone who spent $100K on a truck that died a mile out didn't think to call the service center or manufacturer.
Some people that have received the truck whined about a service appointment because they had a windshield smudge. The bar always lowers.
