Tesla demonstrates little interest in 'Goodwill' once the purchase has been made.
if out of warranty, no idea

Tesla actually demonstrates plenty of goodwill from my experience and from reading and owning over the last decade. Tesla is often very good with just a bit over miles and time still covering items under goodwill.

The crazy psycho customer service went away with the Model 3. As S&X owners some of us were like where is the nearest (Insert name for 100k+ cars service) Forget the ramp in building. It was a ramp in service and warranty. That really made them clamp down on post purchase costs. Gone were the flatbeds and loaners at the door of home.

Post warranty costs are comparable to other mid to higher market brands. Yet for some reason people think Tesla's should have no problems post purchase and post warranty.

Summary I see plenty of goodwill listed on my invoices post warranty. In many locations across the country for close to a million miles across a fleet of cars.

That is good to hear. I've only had 2 Tesla services on my CT, including the PSC, and had no major issues.

Model 3 Psycho: I think Tesla's pulled in a lot 'Not-car-people' due to the EV green energy benefits, in lieu of the 'novelty' of a new type of car.

It was a unique club back in the day. Strange would be a good word.

Got my truck back from service this afternoon, so overall not too bad, but would have really sucked if I had not been at home in my local area.
- Saturday scheduled service
- Monday took it into service
- Tuesday part arrived
- Wednesday started and completed service
- Picked up this afternoon (Wednesday)

Interesting that they said it was an outstanding work order. Looks like they added the ferrite part as well as PCS part 1777777-T2-G. I can't remember if that is the same or newer then the original?

Just happened to me - you can head straight to the service center as others have mentioned. Took mine a week to be repaired.
I went to the service center and they would not check it in to fix it because my appointment is not to May 11 41 days from when I brought it. They say the do not have the part or an eta for the part, They would not even check it in and give me a loaner. They asked for the key and it just sits at Tesla. I love my truck but this is not right. So I am stuck without a truck. Any suggestions to get them to check it in.

It all depends on the service center. Some of them treat people great, other ones treat people like garbage. Once you are told something, that's likely the outcome, unless you have another service center to visit.

Add me to the list of Cybertrucks with the PCS failure. Was AC charging from 61% to 100% in anticipation of a trip down to Starbase City tomorrow. Charging stopped at 83%. PCS failure. AC charging not available. Never dropped to 24A though. Oct 2024 AWD NonFS. 28900k miles. 41XXX VIN.
I did get an appointment for tomorrow at my local service center. For 2pm. I’m taking it in as soon as they open in anticipation of a loaner that I will promptly drive to the coast. Hope they don’t mind the 1000 miles I’m going to put on it in 3 days.

On your loaner: Also check if they limit the top speed, and on one CT loaner, they locked the height at 'Middle' and I was constantly misjudging my exit as the ground was about 1" further than my recollection..

I’ve had loaner CT’s twice before. Never noticed that. But I’ll take a look.

That’s odd - historically if there’s an urgent event/issue, which being unable to charge qualifies as urgent, the service centers have always advised to bring the vehicle in immediately.
I’d try to message them again via the app, and if not, then I’d ask for the service manager on site.
Sorry that it’s been difficult for you! Tesla’s service really is their weakest link

I think there might be a few service centers that still think that the car can charge with a supercharger if the PCS is partially failed. So the urgency is lacking. While there have been a few people that are able to supercharge, most seem to have lost it all.

I had to look at your profile, but I would have sworn you were in NC - I have the same experiences there.

Hell, they told me I could only drive it 100 miles total - I live 110 miles away.

I at first was able to supercharge and 24 amp but then both went out.
