Anyone saying it’s LEDs it’s not. Plenty of other vehicles with LEDs and not an issue. It’s the cybertruck. Tesla hopefully builds an accessory for this.
I have the Tesla Rav4, LED head lamps… they suck, snow and ice build up on them… Think about this
Put your thinking caps on !!! Yell out to Tesla, put a few IR leds in the fixture. That will heat the lens and nothing more then a design / function of the type of light wave ..Lot smarter people out there then me …

None for the consumer market. Really need Tesla to create a solution. Whether it’s headlights upgrades with these heaters or the heaters themselves.
Simple add on IR Led’s to head lens

Yea same issue; I was caught in a snowstorm in Bangor, Maine 2 days ago and had 2 feet of visibility. We got 10 inches of snow.

The CT did handle the snow like a champ though; I ended up having to use all diff locks.

These guys make a clear heating film specifically for LED headlights.

Headlight warming film

Looks like it needs to be oem spec rather than an aftermarket overlay.

This snow blocking issue is also a concern of mine as we spend a lot of time in Vermont. Was thinking it’d be mostly just heavy wet snow blocking up Cybertruck as we’ve had this issue on all of our vehicles with LEDs.

Our Cayenne GTS shoots windshield washer fluid on headlights via a sprayer / actually works pretty well.

Chasm also makes some stuff. Just don’t know how to buy this stuff as consumers.

Maybe the CT light bar can be utilized or tweaked as part of the solution for those that have it?
Waiting for Tesla to tell me when mine will be available.

Seems like this will be a recall issue? If the stupid accelerator pedal thing got a recall, seems like this will be even more likely.

It’s a negative aspect of LED lights. No heat. We had an Audi with similar problem. Had to press our butts to the light to melt the ice. Good times! Lesson learned is to carry spray de-icer and hope it doesn’t stain the stainless steel.

Seemed to be the shelf / cave they put it in.

This was brought up with examples in the first few months of 2024 in the news a YT video examples to no avail.

Had a chance to take the truck out in the endless snowstorm in southern Vermont. This evening there was some snowfall, nothing heavy / but the lights totally are inadequate. I have three other vehicles where there hasn’t been an issue (volvo wagon, g63, f250). The lights get clogged with snowfall, then the bits that melt freeze and create a sort of ice wall blocking the lights. This can’t be removed without a hammer (my scrapper couldn’t). Super bummed out about it as I was counting on it being a beast in the snow. I didn’t take pics while driving but if you don’t take my word for it, you’ll experience it soon enough if in snowy locations.
I’m wondering if a put a lower light bar if it’ll help…

Have you tried to Precondition the battery, heat the interior or run Defrost mode?

Can you explain further how that would help the LED headlight area way up front away from the cabin? I'm confused.

Oh man, living in Colorado and being able to drive over an hour in a snowstorm to go skiing, this is a problem for me. It’s holding me back on pulling the trigger on a cybertruck.

Would spraying a deicer on them actually work?

On trip t o Iowa i found headlights useless in rain. So I installed led bar below. For folks up notth I think roof light wouldn't freeze up as early as headlights. Tilted slightly down might help. But for sure better than stock headlights
