Has anyone seen the rear end well enough to tell what is needed for towing?
Do we need just the hitch ball? The tongue and ball? The whole assembly?

I didn’t see it on the RC in San Jose but there is a cover on the rear bumper like the one covering my hitch on my Model Y so I am guessing it is there.

I think that was a prototype. Here seems like a current one.

So you'll just need a ball mount and a ball. This photo shows a hitch pin in the receiver, but if the truck is delivered with the pin you'll probably want your own locking pin, too.

Haha, well let's hope if you are going to tow that you know those 101 basics :)

Wondering if an adjustable one will be useful ... considering the adjustable air suspension.

Hah!! I've completed remedial Hitches 100 and I got a "Completed" in Towing for Keyboard Players at the Hard Knocks School of Rock, where I learned that all the other band members and the roadies will disappear when its time to get that Hammond organ out of the trailer!

My fervent hope is that all my gear will fit neatly into the vault with the tonneau closed and I can leave my trailer at home. If not, it will be nice to know that I can outrun most sport cars while towing my little 4x6 trailer loaded up with about 600 pounds of some unreasonably expensive musical equipment. Hey! does that count as "truck stuff"? Maybe not.....

Good catch about the adjustable ride height. I might just adjust the ride height to match my existing ball mount rise/drop and use that $135 for more towing classes.

So do you need to pull the cover to use it… and this is what it will look like?
Basically. The cover only goes over the hitch and the electrical, with barely enough room (on the Model Y at least) for the trailer chain hooks. The cover can be replaced. It snaps in place. I had mine off for a year and then recently put it back on because I am not trailering right now.

If you haven’t seen the pic of the Cybertruck with the Christmas tree in the back it is in the Ekectrified video this evening at about 4:48 and clearly shows the hitch area.
