interesting - if it really was a Tommy gun, as in Thompson submachine gun, that's a .45 ACP which is a fair step up from the initial 115gr 9mm they claimed.
No way it's going to stop a rifle round, that isn't a realistic expectation. Stopping a .45 is already a step up.
I wonder if they were FMJ or HP? Wouldn't the FMJ have more penetration power?

If it was a .45 acp, not too bad.
Is it? I mean, ACP is what, 850 fps with a big blunt slug (typically). Seems that would be easiest one to stop compared to rifle bullet profiles (at mucho higher velocities).

9mm has better armor penetration characteristics, smaller diameter and higher velocity.

Technically, it's bullet-resistant, not bulletproof. What about the windows? I hope they're still going to be bullet-resistant.

Does this mean it's strong enough to stop the bullets from the kind of guns that road rangers carry?
Handgun rounds are the most used in gun violence, so yes. but riles are cheap and easy to make these days.

I don't know if Elon said Armor glass would be bullet-resistant, but the media (which always gets everything wrong) reported it as bullet-resistant. I believe he said it would be the same glass as the Starship (maybe I'm wrong about that). Since anything moving in orbit is ten to twenty times faster than a bullet, I would expect the CyberTruck glass to be bullet-resistant.
